Itinerary

Imagine the plains of the Serengeti - this safari will take you there!

Tanzanias Northern Circuit parks and reserves are home to some of East Africas highest concentrations of wildlife, including the Big 5, but also many other equally interesting species of game and a fascinating birdlife. This tour takes you on safari to not only to see the animals in their natural habitats, but to enjoy the magnificent landscapes and memorable sunrises and sunsets.

Day 1. Nairobi to Arusha

Our journey commences with a scheduled shuttle service from Nairobi to Tanzania's safari town, Arusha. On arrival we check into our hotel where we will be met by our guide who will be with us for the duration of the safari.

Day 2. Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park Highlights. Lake Manyara National Park.

Making our way out of the busy town this morning our journey takes us through coffee plantations before reaching the open plains. After lunch we reach Lake Manyara where we have our first game drive looking for some of the amazing wild animals that are native to the region. The park is also renowned for its fantastic bird life.

Finally we leave the park and head up the escarpment to the comfortable lodge with amazing views out over the park. 2 images Lake Manyara National Park

Day 3. Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park Highlights. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania.

Leaving Lake Manyara behind we travel through to town of Karatu and on into the highlands. The road hugs the rim of the Ngorongo crater before dropping down towards the Serengeti plains. On entering the park we will see the sea of grass open up in front of us with the iconic flat topped acacia trees dotting the landscape. We will spend the afternoon game driving in this fantastic park before having a relaxing evening at our comfortable lodge. 5 images Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Day 4. Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

After a restful night we are up early for a morning game drive as this is the best time to see the animals. After lunch we leave the park and head back towards the Ngorongoro Crater and our lodge perched on the rim.

Day 5. Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara Highlights. Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania.

Descending to the crater this morning we are rewarded by some amazing views across the caldera followed by a fantastic morning's game drive.

After lunch we climb the crater walls and head on towards our lodge for the night overlooking Lake Manyara. 7 images Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania

Day 6. Lake Manyara to Arusha Highlights. Tarangire National Park.

From Manyara, we drop down the escarpment to the floor of the Great Rift Valley and head onto the hidden gem, Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is renowned for fantastic herds of elephant and bufallo along with iconic baobab trees. We have some time game driving in the park before returning to Arusha for the final night of the safari. 3 images Tarangire National Park

Day 7. Arusha to Nairobi

We have the morning free in Arusha with the opportunity to visit some of the markets and shops or simply relax by the pool in the hotel.
