Discover the delights of Kenyan game viewing in this great short safari tour!

The Great Rift Valley is characterised by scenic lakes and game-rich pastures on the valley floor, and dramatic peaks and ridges along its escarpment. This rewarding short tour takes in Kenyas best-known parks; Lake Nakuru, which is famed for its thousands of flamingos that form a bright pink fringe around the lakeshore, and the Maasai Mara, home to the Big 5 and other wildlife that stalks the endless plains.

Day 1. Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park Highlights. Lake Nakuru, Kenya.

Travelling west from Nairobi we drop down into the Great Rift Valley at the famous Mau escarpment while taking in the magnificent views.

After lunch we enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park with its iconic flat topped acacia trees and large shallow soda lake with its fringe of pink flamingoes. 4 images Lake Nakuru, Kenya

Day 2. Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Departing this morning we traverse the plains and head towards the world renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve, home to a magnificent array of animals.

After having lunch en route, we have an afternoon game drive in the park heading towards our comfortable lodge and a relaxing dinner.

Day 3. Maasai Mara National Reserve Highlights. Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya.

Today we enjoy a full day exploring the park. We will generally head out in the morning and afternoon as these are the times that the animals are more active. During the heat of the day we relax at our comfortable lodge.

The Mara is home to some amazing animals and we hope to catch the 'big 5' along with large herds of wildebeest and zebra. 9 images Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
