Highlights of Adamson’s footsteps in Kenya

  • Wildlife is excellent… from the large elephant herds of the Amboseli National Park in the foothills of snow-capped Kilimanjaro to the rhino of the Lewa Conservancy. The 61,000 acres is a safe refuge for over 14 percent of Kenya’s white rhino and more than 11 percent of Kenya’s black rhino populations. It’s also home to the largest single population of Grevy’s zebra on the planet!
  • Moving on the Masai Mara and the Mara North Conservancy. This 74,000 acre private wilderness is home to elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, and buffalo road. It’s also famous for its large herds of migratory wildlife – wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. It’s worth taking time to look beyond the larger wildlife, the Mara also has some spectacular plants and bird life too.
  • Right in the heart of the conservancy is Leopard Gorge, home of the BBC Big Cat Diaries. The conservancy is also vital for sustaining the highly threatened African wild dog, black rhino and the Serengeti wildebeest migrations.
