The Tons valley lies in the Jaunsar Bawar region of Garhwal, a little known area, unique in culture and history. The whole valley is steeped in mystery and legends from the past. The Pandavas, and their rivals, the Kauravas, figure especially in the anthropology of the Tons valley, where the villagers actually claim to have descended from the two clans. Their social customs are very unlike the rest of conservative Garhwal. Polyandry, and to some extent, polygamy, are the normal practice. The Tons River begins from the snowfields below Bandarpoonch and is infact made of two small rivers the Rupin and Supin which meet near the village of Netwar to form the Tons. The river continues to meet the Yamuna at DakPathar. The area is very rich in bio-diversity and has a unique culture of its own and the possibilities of adventure activities here make it a perfect holiday destination for the summers. The area offers a wide range of activities where both Kids and adults can be involved. This program is designed for any child (6-15yr old) and parent that seek for an authentic, fun filled & educational holiday in nature. Camping, Rafting, Kayaking, Nature Hikes, Campfires, fun games, Rappelling are some of the activities that one can indulge in. This is an excellent trip to spend some quality time with Kids and bond with them.
