Highlights include viewing the world-famous Victoria Falls, one of the most impressive waterfalls in the world; game viewing in Hwange National Park, which is home to large numbers of elephants and many other species; and exploring the natural beauty of Mana Pools, set along the great Zambezi River.
Situated on a private concession within and bounded by the Masuwe River and the Zambezi gorges, The Elephant Camp has breath-taking views of the Victoria Falls’ spray, and the spectacular gorges which separate Zimbabwe and Zambia. The Elephant Camp is a luxury and intimate lodge under canvas within easy reach of Victoria Falls and all its attractions and activities.
DAY 2 – VICTORIA FALLS: After breakfast, enjoy a private tour of the Falls on the Zimbabwean side. Return to your camp and enjoy an elephant interaction. Dinner and overnight Victoria Falls Elephant Camp. (B, L, D)
DAY 3 – VICTORIA FALLS/HWANGE NATIONAL PARK: After breakfast, you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport for your flight to Hwange National Park (flight included). Home to countless elephant, numerous lion prides and rare antelope such as sable and roan, Hwange National Park offers excellent game spotting opportunities around the many waterholes found throughout the park. Enjoy lunch at camp and an afternoon safari activity. Dinner and overnight Linkwasha Camp. (B, L, D, Dr)
Overlooking a pan that is a magnet for game across all seasons, the fresh, open and airy design of Linkwasha Camp is complemented by an eclectic mix of contemporary interiors with the original spirit and essence of safari. Eight en-suite luxury tents and one family tent look out over the waterhole, while the main area includes various multi-level decks, a pool area and a winter lounge complete with library.
DAYS 4 & 5 – HWANGE NATIONAL PARK: Enjoy two days of shared safari activities in Hwange National Park. Activities include game drives in open Land Rovers, walking safaris, evening drives, and village visits. Overnight Linkwasha Camp. (B, L, D, Dr)
DAY 6 – HWANGE NATIONAL PARK/MANA POOLS NATIONAL PARK: Enjoy one last game activity and then breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your flight to Mana Pools National Park (flight included). Famous for its four main pools which hold water all year round, all manner of wildlife migrate here during the dry season. Enjoy lunch at camp and an afternoon safari activity. Dinner and overnight Ruckomechi Camp. (B, L, D, Dr)
Shaded by a large grove of acacia and mahogany trees, Ruckomechi Camp accommodates guests in ten spacious en-suite tents, including a honeymoon suite, all of which overlook the river. Each beautifully decorated tent has both indoor and outdoor showers, heated by solar geysers.
DAYS 7 & 8 – MANA POOLS NATIONAL PARK: Enjoy two days of shared safari activities in Mana Pools National Park. Activities include game drives, river cruises, nature walks, catch-and-release fishing (at an additional cost), and fantastic birding. Overnight Ruckomechi Camp. (B, L, D, Dr)
DAY 9 –MANA POOLS NATIONAL PARK/VICTORIA FALLS/DEPART: Enjoy one last game activity and then breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your flight to Victoria Falls Airport (flight included). Upon arrival, connect to your onward flight.
