This 12-day trip that starts in Johannesburg and ends in Cape Town will see you explore the Kruger National Park with a safari guide in an open vehicle and visit Durban before spending a few nights in Cape Town and then doing a Garden Route Tour.

We leave on your Safari from Johannesburg in the early morning to allow for various collection points. The route to the Lodge takes us through the Highveld with its wide open spaces, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld area.
Arriving at the Lodge at around 13:00 pm you are checked into your River Facing Luxury Tented Room and have time to freshen up and relax after the drive. At 16h30 you will depart for Paul Kruger Gate where your search for South Africa’s Big 5 begins on this awesome Sunset Game Drive experience. You will return back to the Lodge at approximately 20h30 were a tasty 3 course meal awaits your return at our Gecko Lapa.
Wake up bright and early, at 05h00 to the sound of the African Bushveld where you will depart for your Full Day Game Drive at 05h30 in search for more wildlife.
You will have your breakfast packed and our qualified Game Ranger will ensure he stops for you to enjoy it with a warm cup of coffee or tea. For lunch you will be taken through to one of the many rest camps inside the Kruger National Park where you can enjoy a lovely meal with a great view.
You will return back to the Lodge at approximately 16h30 where here you can relax at the pool side whilst enjoying a few drinks or cocktails. Dinner will be served from 18h30 to 21h30 at the Gecko Bar.
Wake up at own leisure and enjoy a full spread buffet-style breakfast to be served in the Gecko Lapa. Check out is at 10h00.
You will be collected from the Lodge at approximately 10:30 am for your transfer back to Johannesburg. You are scheduled to arrive back between 16:30 – 17:30 pm and you are dropped off at the Outlook Lodge.
Today after breakfast you will be collected for a full day Johannesburg & Soweto Tour.
On our way to Soweto we pass by the National Football Stadium City, which hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the World Cup 2010. We enter the Diepkloof area, where we will take a walk past vendors selling just about anything.
In Orlando West we visit Vilakazi Street- drive past the former home of Nelson Mandela and past the home of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. You will have an opportunity to read about the Soweto uprising on 16 June 1976. On that tragic day an innocent little boy called Hector Pieterson gave up his life and kick-started the liberation of South Africa.
During this tour we will pass by the Mandela House. A visit into the museum is optional.
We continue our tour driving into one of the shanty towns where you get to interact with some of the locals.
By now you will have seen the good, the bad and the ugly facets of Soweto. We drive past the Soweto Campus of the Johannesburg University and end our tour with a stop at the largest hospital in the world: Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.
After Lunch we visit the world famous apartheid museum. Here you will learn about the history and struggle of South Africa during apartheid.
Like to get to know Johannesburg better? This afternoon tour is perfect for it! We take you to the top sites Johannesburg has to offer. Some of the areas our tour passes through are Hillbrow , Central Johannesburg, Braamfontein and Newtown.
We start your introduction to Jozi with a view of the impressive 269 metre Telkom Tower, as seen on many postcards of Johannesburg. We then enter the inspiring Constitution Hill – and Court (when not in session) Political activists like Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi were once held here. During a tour inside you will learn about some of the legal history of Johannesburg.
On our way to Newtown we pass by the longest southern African bridge, named Nelson Mandela bridge. At Mary Fitzgerald Square you can walk on the Jazz Walk of Fame.
We end this tour with a visit to the Carlton Centre, also known as the ‘Top of Africa’. There a lift will elevate you 50 stories for an amazing and total view over the city.
After the tour you will be dropped off back at the Outlook Lodge.
After a leisurely breakfast you check out from the Outlook Lodge. We have arranged a transfer for you to the aiprort for your flight to Durban. On arrival in Durban you will be collected and transferred to the hotel. The afternoon is spent at your own leisure.
Today after breakfast you will be collected for a Valley of 1000 hills tour. The Valley of a Thousand Hills is an exceptionally scenic hilly area west of Durban. It’s name is derived from the hills dotted around the valley looking down from vantage points. We also visit a cultural site.
This tour includes a drive through the wealthy Kloof area to the edge of the impressive Valley of a 1000 Hills where we introduce you to the age old Zulu tradition.
Visit the Sangoma and enjoy the Zulu dancing and cultural demonstrations. We also visit a crocodile farm and snake park before returning to Durban where you will be dropped off at the Guest House.
Today breakfast is at leisure and you can sleep in a bit later. You will be collected mid-morning and transferred to the King Shaka Airport for your flight to Cape Town.
On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met at the Airport and transferred to Dunkley House where you will be staying.
The rest of the afternoon is spent at your own leisure discovering Cape Town.
After breakfast you are collected from Dunkley House for your Garden Route tour.
The route takes us to the Ostrich capital of the world, Oudtshoorn. We follow Route 62, the longest wine route in the world with its magnificent landscapes & towering cliffs! In Oudtshoorn we explore the Cango Caves which is a very popular destination! We have an option of visiting the Cango Wildlife Ranch or the local Ostrich farm, or an elephant riding experience with these gentle giants! Tonight we have a traditional Ostrich “Braai”!
After breakfast, we head into the Garden Route Wilderness. We go canoeing on the wilderness lagoon with plenty of bird life and breath-taking scenery. We’ll explore SA’s favourite town of Knysna, as well as the gorgeous views of the Knysna heads. Then it’s off to Bungee at the highest Bungee bridge jump in the world for those brave enough! Tonight we shall spend the evening in a small town, situated within an indigenous forest known as Storms River Village!
Today we go explore Tsitsikamma National park, we do an easy 1 hour hike with splendid views over the Indian Ocean, plenty of bird life, Ocean activity as well as a newly revamped hanging bridge which makes for great photo opportunities Our tour concludes back in Cape Town in the early evening when you are dropped of back at Dunkley House.
Today is spent at your own leisure in Cape Town. There are many things to do in and around the city including boat, cultural, walking and city tours or spend the day lazing at the beach.
After a leisurely breakfast, you are expected to check out from the hotel by 10:00 am. You can spend the rest of the day in Cape Town before being transferred to the Cape Town Airport for your return flight home.
