Arrive at Elizovo Airport, 30km from Kamchatka’s capital Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
Meet your tour leader and transfer to Snow Valley lodge, where you’ll spend the rest of the day relaxing and preparing for the adventurous days ahead.
Go for a dip in the outdoor thermal spring pool, or get acquainted with the delights of the Banya (Russian sauna).
The next four days are dedicated to off-piste skiing and snowboarding on some of Russia’s most spectacular virgin slopes.
After breakfast each morning, our group will be picked up by helicopter and transferred to some of the most exciting heli-skiing locations Kamchatka has to offer, taking in incredible views of the mountains, the Taiga and the Pacific coast along the way.
Conditions permitting, we should get a total of about 8 hours helicopter time and a total drop of roughly 15,000 vertical feet.
We divide into groups of 5 to 6 people, with no less than 2 highly experienced guides to accompany each group. You’ll be given a comprehensive briefing on helicopter safety before takeoff, and a detailed overview of each site and the current snow conditions.
On some volcanoes, such as Mutnovsky (2,923m), it’s possible to ski into the crater, with active steam vents smoking and seething all around you!
Depending on conditions, our options include skiing to the Bolshe-Bannie hot spring valley, or all the way down to the Pacific Ocean shore.
The next two days are spare days for weather fluctuations.
Relax and unwind or discover a little more of what Kamchatka has to offer.
From our base at Snow Valley, you’ll be able to choose from a fantastic selection of guided winter adventure and adrenaline experiences, ranging from a few hours in length to full day excursions.
Optional activities include day treks to the volcanoes around Petropavlovsk, snowmobiling or husky dog sled rides, cross country skiing or visit to the ethnic village.
Our last day in Kamchatka. After breakfast, check out of Snow Valley and transfer to the airport.
