Discover Amazing Alsace

Above all, Alsatians are proud – proud to be Alsatian, and proud of what that means. But they are not a cloistered people. Historically, they took what they liked from those who passed through, making war or staking a claim. Setting aside the question of who “owns” it, Alsace is much more than a land between Germany and France. It is the result of a 2000-year experiment, of the mixing of cultures with the catalysts of time and the indomitable character of the Alsatian people.

Day by Day

Bienvenue en Alsace! Upon arrival, you'll be driven to your luxury home for two nights, La Maisons des Têtes. You'll meet your B&R representative and enjoy a guided tour of town and an optional warm-up ride.

Navigate the rolling hills and gorgeous vistas of the Route des Vins, pedaling through some of the most quintessential wine-making villages of Alsace: Kayserberg, Riquewihr and Ribeauvillé. Tonight, unwind over a glass of you favourite Riesling by the banks of the River Ill before dinner in town.

Venture towards the River Rhine and into Germany via the village of Marckolsheim. After crossing the imposing river, you will find yourself immersed in the beautiful Kaisersthul wine region. Tonight we advise you to dine next-door to your hotel at the three Michelin-starred Auberge de l’Ill, an unforgettable culinary experience.

Back on the Route des Vins this morning, you will be travelling along small winding roads, through vineyards and past countless colourful villages hidden amongst the vines. Those who enjoy a good climb will have the option of taking a small detour up to the Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg for an incredible view of the valley below.

Ride through the orchards and forests skirting the bottom of the mountains before breaking out into rolling vineyards. This evening, meet up with our local historian and friend for a guided tour of the historic town of Obernai.

This morning, enjoy your last Alsatian breakfast at your leisure. Depending on your onward travel plans, a car and driver will take you to the Strasbourg train station in time for your departure. Bon voyage!
