We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.
These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.

Answer the Call of the Wild
Botswana is a vibrant gem nestled in Southern Africa. Fractionally smaller than the state of Texas, the land-locked country offers a sought after wildlife experience. This journey is designed around the region’s diversity, offering contrasting landscapes with mesmerizing wildlife. We begin at a land camp in the unique ecosystem that is the Okavango Delta, one of the most exciting wildlife sanctuaries on the continent. We continue to the waterways and woodlands of the Selinda Reserve, with an intimate family-run camp. Our final destination is the salt pans known as the Makgadikgadi, the remains of an ancient super-lake.Trip designed by Travel Expert Michele Harvey TRIP DETAILS per person from $9,895 USD

Day by Day
Welcome to Botswana! Upon arrival in Maun you’ll be met by a local guide and assisted with your connecting lodge hop to the Khwai Airstrip in the eastern edge of the Okavango Delta.
On the second and third day become acquainted with the gentle pace of safari life. Spend your days bird-watching, swimming and meditating.
Head out in search of wildlife on an afternoon game drive. Dinners may be interrupted by spontaneous star-gazing or the distant call of a lion.
Travel from the banks of the Khwai River to the edge of the Selinda Spillway, an ancient watercourse linking the Okavango and Kwando-Linyanti floodplains.
Motswiri offers an array of activities with a focus on water activities. During the high flood waters mokoro excursions, motorized boating, great birding, catch-and-release fishing and walking are available with low waters resulting in game drive opportunities, horse riding and fly camping.
Spot a variety of species in the diverse habitats including the African elephant, hippopotamus and giraffe!
Head from the floodplains and riverine forests of Selinda to the endless pans of the Makgadikgadi which, at 1,200km², makes quite an impression.
Nestled amongst acacias trees and Mokolwane palms, looking onto the completely vast and empty nothingness of the glittering-white Makgadikgadi saltpan, Camp Kalahari offers fresh adventure.
Embark on a quad biking adventure, visit Chapman's Baobab or witness the annual zebra and wildebeest migration!
After a final early morning activity, sunrise and breakfast, return to Maun by light aircraft for your onward connection.Show All Days VIEW MAP CLOSE
