Explore the Elegant Coast

Glamorous doesn’t even begin to describe it. From chic Capri to the cliffs of Positano to Amalfi Town and Ravello, the Amalfi Coast is stylish, all the time. The accommodations are not only luxurious but also elegant—a little like the natives. Still, there’s a natural, even rustic side to Amalfi, which you will taste in the local trattorie and experience on your walks along mountain paths and coastal trails. Accompanied by both naturalists and historians, you’ll learn what makes the Sirens sing, why the lemons loom so large and why “The Path of the Gods” hardly does this place justice.

Day by Day

Sail to the legendary island of Capri where you will be whisked uphill to the village of Anacapri, a less-explored part of this famous island paradise. From the main piazza, set off on the path less travelled—past lemon groves, vineyards and tiny 18thC churches.

Walk back in “island time” with the charming local historian Agostino. Follow pedestrian streets and steep staircases out to Capri’s grandest imperial villa. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the hotel or walking along quiet coastal cliff paths.

Take a boat trip from Capri to the town of Amalfi and join our knowledgeable local guide Michelangelo to wander through the villages of Atrani and Torello. For lunch, our table awaits in Ravello where we will be served at a family run ristorante.

Take a morning drive high into the Lattari Mountains to connect with the legendary Path of the Gods accompanied by a local naturalist. End up in the ancient fishing village of Positano—and Le Sirenuse, your home away from home for the next two nights.

Sleep in late or take a morning hike from Monte Pertuso up and across the mountain, enjoying breathtaking views of Positano below. Spend the afternoon shopping, swimming or practicing your Italian with Antonio, the charming hotel owner.

After breakfast, you will be driven to the Salerno train station or Naples airport, from where you can head home or continue your adventures on your own. Arrivederci!
