    Signature

We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.

    Bistro

These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.

Spellbinding Corsica

White cliffs, azure lagoons, ultramarine blue skies and soaring mountains all welcome you to this Mediterranean island that has been a preferred retreat of celebrities since the 1950s. Not quite France and not Italy, either, Corsica’s spellbinding idiosyncrasies are best experienced on two wheels. With the aid of your charming guide, you will have a chance to explore all of its facets—from Calvi’s palm-shaded chic to the wild maquis of the Desert des Agriates, from vineyards to citrus groves, from savoury cheeses and cured meats to transcendent seafood cuisine. You don’t need to be a star to embark on this journey—but we do recommend the big sunglasses!

Day by Day

Welcome to Corsica! Your guide will meet you at Calvi Airport and take you for a warm-up ride to the chapel of Notre Dame de la Serra, where you'll enjoy excellent views of Calvi's bay. On your return, perhaps you'd like to stop for an ice cold Pietra or Colomba (local chestnut and maquis-flavoured beers) on the pretty port.

After a pool-side breakfast, head off on one of Europe's most beautiful roads to the port of Galeria. This afternoon, cycle part of the Tour De France's Corsica route.

Explore the many charming towns and villages of the Balagne region, stopping off in Calenzana for a taste of fresh-from-the-oven canistrellii cookies. Lunch will be in the tiny town of Pigna as you enjoy breathtaking coastal views.

Star the day learning about Calvi's fortified citadel with our expert guide then enjoy a lunch of traditional Corsican fare at our favourite auberge. This afternoon, climb to Bocca di Vezzu for stunning views of the countryside and the azure shore.

Following a hearty breakfast, explore the wild, winding, windswept coast of the Cap Corse. This afternoon you'll head inland to one of Corsica’s few limestone and clay terroirs, and stop for a visit and tasting with one of our favourite local wine producers.

Visit Monsieur Calizi’s citron farm and learn about the citrus medica. Sample some of Calizi's jams, cakes and liqueurs before continuing to Centuri, the tip of Cap Corse and France's number one lobster-fishing port. Tonight, enjoy a final night cocktail with your guide.

After a farewell breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be driven to the Bastia airport in time for your flight. If your schedule permits, the morning could include a stop in Haute Corse’s little capital for a wander around the port and lively main square.
