Even with its vibrant economic growth, Vietnam is still as charming, picturesque and wondrous as the first time we came here more than a decade ago. The country is thriving, which means the roads are a bit better and there are even more luxurious hotels scattered along the coast. The people are as gracious, warm and infinitely inviting as ever. On this epic journey from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, you’ll take in all the highlights, from picturesque China Beach to the ancient Imperial Tombs.

This morning catch a flight to Da Nang. Head to the Son Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain) for a great walk finishing with lunch at the glorious Intercontinental Hotel. After, take some time to explore the town of Hoi An. Tonight meet for cocktails at our friend Duc’s restaurant, where you’ll taste this culinary wizard’s signature Passion Rumba and sit down for a tasting of Vietnam’s best fusion cuisine.
Visit the market early in the morning to watch the women haggle over the day’s fresh fish! Afterwards you’ll head out on a great walking loop around Hoi An, passing through traditional rice paddies and fish farms interspersed with ancestral tombs and water buffalo, finishing at our favourite lunch spot in a beautiful river setting.
Today we’re off to one of the most enduring and romantic legacies of French colonialism, Dalat. Visit the valley of Ta Nung to explore the coffee and pepper farming villages.
This morning’s walk winds along the narrow streets of the city where old French colonial and rich modern villas are hidden. During the walk, stop at a farm to learn (and taste!) famous Vietnamese weasel coffee.
This morning, on the way to Phan Rang, we’ll visit the fantastic Po Nagar Cham Towers, one of the significant historical and religious relics of the Champa Kingdom. After, walk through the untouched village of Phuoc Thuan passing many historic cham temples. We will then visit a local farm and taste their locally produced wine.
Take the whole day off to hit the spa or try out some water sports! If you’re interested in hitting the trails again, after breakfast, head out to the nearby National Park. Archaeologists believe this area was previously home to deer and dinosaurs!
Today you’ll fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Visit the market, explore the city or relax as you choose. If you’re looking for art, we encourage you to check out the galleries of the contemporary Vietnamese art scene. Our final night in Vietnam culminates in an unforgettable dinner at our favourite market-style restaurant.
