It would be hard to find two destinations so different and yet so geographically near. Laos, just emerging as a travel destination, offers a UNESCO-protected city, colonial architecture, a Buddhist legacy, and miles and miles of Mekong-side riding. Then there’s Vietnam – even with its vibrant economic growth, Vietnam is as charming, picturesque and wondrous as the first time we cycled here more than a decade ago. The people remain the same: gracious, warm, and infinitely inviting—and we certainly meet a lot of them on this journey from Hanoi to Luang Prabang, via Ha Long bay.

We will meet you upon arrival and assist with your Visa. After you exit the airport you will be whisked to your hotel in central colonial Hanoi.
After breakfast we will head out on foot and visit a local vibrant market followed by a cyclo (bike-propelled cart) ride along tree-lined boulevards, experiencing the city’s historic architecture and the capital’s delightfully chaotic street life.
Begin the day with a scenic ride in the countryside and spend the afternoon exploring and kayaking through caves in Ha Long bay.
Spend the day on board our junk boat soaking in the view, go kayaking among the secret caves or take a meandering bike ride on Cat Ba Island.
Take a short flight to Laos and the enchanting city of Luang Prabang. Arriving late in the afternoon, we go straight to our hotel to enjoy a little R&R. Dinner tonight is a special Lao welcome at a century-old villa with a traditional Lao Baci well-wishing ceremony.
Begin the day cycling along the Mekong. Towards the end embark on a boat ride bound for the nearby Pak Ou cave which contains more than 4,200 wood and gilded Buddha statues.
Rise early to witness-and even join in-the local morning prayer ritual. Walk through the morning market and then head to the picture-perfect, multi-tiered cascades of the Tad Kouang Si waterfalls. Ride through the hills south of Luang Prabang and spend the afternoon exploring and shopping.
At the end of the week we will book you on a flight to Bangkok and the time will depend on your travel plans. You might also consider travelling to Bangkok, Chiang Mai or Siem Reap, Cambodia to visit Angkor Wat or any of the wonderful beach hotels Southern Thailand has to offer.Show All Days VIEW MAP CLOSE Want to see a full
