View Karen’s ProfileAfter a short flight from Yangon to Heho today, we'll head for lunch in one of the only wineries in Myanmar. Walk from the vineyard to the waters of Inle Lake before a special Shan tribal dinner—the perfect introduction to this intriguing country.
This morning, we set forth in the only way a true Inle experience can begin: by boat. Explore the ancient ruins of In Dien and then stop for lunch at a special location; the first of its kind 50 years ago and run by a local Shan chieftain.
Today, we head into the Mine Thauk village for a full day of gorgeous mountain trekking. In true B&R fashion, we'll make ourselves at home in the village for the night, setting up our own beds and other facilities in a few of the local houses. In the evening, there are sure to be some curious community members coming by to say hello—dinner is quite the scene!
Return to Inle Lake this morning where we'll spend the evening back in the graces of modern technology at one of our favorite resorts in Myanmar. This will be the perfect opportunity for a spa treatment!
Explore the depths of the ancient capital with our local expert, including some of Bagan's best-preserved temples. We end the day on a temple terrace overlooking the Bagan plain, watching the sunset over the stupas.
For those wanting an unforgettable view of Bagan's magical landscape, there is the option for an early morning hot-air balloon ride. After an afternoon of shopping and a bit of relaxation, we'll settle in for dinner at an undisclosed venue... and that’s all we can say for now!
Fly back to Yangon to meet your international connections. If you are planning to spend a few more days exploring Yangon, your guide can arrange transportation to a hotel.
