A rustic retreat

With lush rolling hills, medieval towns and meandering roads, Tuscany is a biker’s idyll. There is something eminently peaceful in riding through hilltop towns that have stood watch here since the Middle Ages, passing vines tended by generations of winemakers and savouring traditional cuisine made from the freshest and tastiest local ingredients. Let the fantastic Podere Panico play host to your family; gather for delicious meals from the original forno oven, learn to make authentic homemade pasta, and discover the region alongside local experts, all from the comfort of your own private Tuscan home.

*The activities on our Tuscan Villa Family Adventure trip are recommended for children age 12 years and older.

Day by Day

Arrive at Podere Panico and get settled in. This afternoon, your guide has a scenic, countryside warm-up walk prepared. Afterwards, sit down for a delicious welcome dinner at the villa!

Drive to nearby Monteroni d’Arbia and set out on your first ride along quiet country roads to Casciano di Murlo. Stop for lunch at a family-run trattoria and continue back to the villa for a homemade wood-fired pizza night!

Ride through gorgeous vineyards today, beginning at Brolio Castle—home to the descendants of the Baron Ricasoli, aka the "inventor" of the Chianti Classico grape varietal. Pause for a wine tasting lunch at the estate’s osteria.

Head to the local farmer's market to gather fresh ingredients for your private pasta-making lesson! This evening, head to nearby Montalcino for an aperitivo and dinner in town.

Join your local host for a guided tour of Siena—gain insights about the town’s infamous Palio horse race and peek inside the contrada museum. Those who are keen can challenge themselves to an afternoon ride through an organic winery.

Pedal through sunflower fields and olive groves to Tenuta La Fratta, an impressive 14thC farm and villa. Tour the facilities and then head back to Podere for a private tasting with some of our favourite wines from the region.

Meet your local host for a tour of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, famous for its fine wine. Continue through the neighbouring villages, stopping in at the various shops and galleries. Tonight, prepare for an exciting medieval-themed send-off!

Your guides will stop by the villa to collect the bikes and bid you farewell this morning. Arrivederci!
