In good company in Vietnam

After taking to the roads of Vietnam for over a decade, we’ve made some good friends who grasp the art of hospitality to the extent that we do. We’ve teamed up with our B&R family on the ground to create this go-at-your-own-pace journey, allowing you to explore one of our favourite corners of Southeast Asia the way you want to. Plus, you’ll see, that you’re never truly alone. You’ll be joined by smiling children as you cycle the quiet country roads, you’ve been invited for lunch in the home of a Nguyen Dynasty relative, and some local culinary gurus want to show you how to prepare their favourite dish. Ready to meet your new friends?

B&R Travel Expert Nathan Lane was named Vietnam’s Top Travel Specialist 2017 by Condé Nast. He has spent the last 12 years crafting incredible adventures in this ever-changing country—no one knows it better!

Day by Day

Meet your B&R Local Host for an introduction to your bikes and an overview of the week to come. Venture out on a short ride with your host to get your biking legs ready to go!

After a cycling-filled morning, our friends welcome you into their traditional home to enjoy some home-cooking and for a lesson in the art of feng shui.

Pedal through the picturesque countryside, passing rice paddies, small villages and an ancient bridge along the way. Take a guided tour of Hue, Vietnam’s ‘Forbidden City’.

Tackle the famous “Pass of the Clouds”, a scenic uphill journey with a rewarding downhill to follow. After lunch in Danang, explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An.

Head to the Hoi An market and watch the women haggle over the day’s catch. Cycle through rice fields and past fish farms interspersed with water buffalo and hundreds of smiling children.

Bike to a local pottery village to try your hand at this ancient art form. End your ride with a riverside lesson in Vietnamese cuisine that promises to keep you entertained and well-fed.

A private car will bring you to the airport for your onward travels. If time allows, take a guided tour of Marble Mountain, a well-known pilgrimage site with caves, tunnels and temples.
