Africa's premier safari experience

Welcome to Zambia! Begin your journey in South Luangwa, where safari legends such as Norman Carr, Robin Pope, and John Coppinger have left an indelible influence on the ethics and authenticity of the region’s wildlife experience. The land here is filled with meandering rivers and is home to the original walking safaris of the 1950s. From Luangwa, you’ll fly to Lower Zambezi National Park to explore the diverse animal life amidst the myriad islands, channels and open floodplains of the Zambezi River. Prepare yourself for up-close encounters and luxury safari accommodation beyond belief.

*Trip price includes flights between Johannesburg Airport before and after your trip.

Day by Day

Arrive at the wildly luxurious Chinzombo Lodge, your gateway to the South Luangwa—one of the most exciting wildlife sanctuaries in the world.

Embark on a sunrise game drive while the animals are most active. The river here teems with hippo and crocodile and provides a lifeline for one of the greatest diversities of habitat and wildlife in Africa—keep your eyes peeled!

After another morning drive, return to the lodge at lunch for some afternoon downtime. Set off again in the late afternoon with your safari guide and return to camp with countless stories to discuss around the campfire.

Fly to the Lower Zambezi and settle in at your luxury safari camp, where you can enjoy spectacular terrace views of the river and the four-legged visitors it attracts!

Your schedule here is flexible, with a choice of daily activities include boating, canoeing, fishing, safari drives and walks. Exciting days are always matched by relaxing nights filled with decadent cuisine and good company.

Rise early for a morning game drive, then spend the afternoon on a water safari—you're likely to spot herds of elephant drinking at the water's edge.

Return to the Royal Airstrip and begin making your way back to Lusaka and O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. Alternatively, we recommend adding a few nights in Livingstone to see the impressive Victoria Falls!
