09:30: arrival in Churchill. A guided bus tour of local historical points of interest will explore attractions such as Cape Merry, Port of Churchill, and Manitoba Conversation’s Polar Bear Holding Facility (weather permitting).

12:00: Lunch.

Afternoon: A stop at the Eskimo Museum will be followed by free time to check in and enjoy the hotel. The museum features one of Canada’s finest collections of Inuit carvings, kayaks, and artifacts dating from pre-Dorset, Dorset, Thule, and modern Inuit times.

Overnight: Churchill Hotel

Today will be spent in a Tundra Buggy with an expert local guide, viewing polar bears and other Arctic wildlife.

The best way to experience an intimate encounter with a wild polar bear is on an authentic Tundra Buggy. All of our vehicles are furnished with dual-pane frost-free windows and contain propane heating systems that closely resemble fireplaces (featuring real flame behind glass). You will enjoy picnic-style lunches and refreshment while bear watching.

The day concludes with an evening slide show conducted by seasoned residents of the area. Relax and soak up years of northern experience, enchanting stories, and magnificent photography.

Overnight: Churchill Hotel

In the morning, you will learn about the history of Canadian dogsledding form a local resident and sledding expert. This is followed by an exhilarating ride with a husky team on a custom-made sled (or cart, weather permitting). Join the mushers for hot chocolate and fresh bannock after your ride and hear stories of sledding adventures across the continent.

During the afternoon you will step back in time to view detailed and exciting wildlife dioramas and fur trade exhibits at the Parks Canada Interpretive Centre. View a series of videos on the history, culture, and wildlife of the area.

Overnight: Churchill Hotel

The penultimate day of the trip features another excursion via Tundra Buggy, including a picnic-style lunch and final opportunities for bear watching.

19:00: Evening flight to Winnipeg, with dinner served aboard. Arrival 21:00–21:30.

Overnight: Four Points Sheraton

Depart Winnipeg at your leisure.

This is our intended itinerary. Wildlife sightings and some activities depend on favourable conditions. As with all our adventures, weather, sea, and road conditions are a determining factor and will, to some extent, dictate our itinerary.
