This itinerary takes in two of the most interesting destinations in Greenland, with the opportunity to experience Arctic nature, the inland ice cap and the ice fjords.

Fly with Air Greenland flight from Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq. Continuing flight to Ilulissat. On arrival you will be met by your guide before transferring to your hotel for check-in, a welcome
meeting and a guided city walk. Optional excursions during stay in Ilulissat include:
City Walk Ilulissat - During a walk through town the guide tells about the history of Ilulissat. We visit the old part of town and see buildings from the very start of the Danish
trading station, the busy fishing harbour, the old church and the museum. Lunch at a local restaurant. Duration: 4 hours (approx.) Prices from £57 per person including lunch
The Icebergs of Sermermiut - Travel by bus as far as the road goes and then take a beautiful walk along the UNESCO designated Ilulissat Ice Fjord to Sermermiut where traces from
the three old Eskimo cultures still can be seen. Sermermiut is a fertile valley next to the Ice Fjord; here you can enjoy the flowers as well as the fantastic icebergs. Duration: 3 hours (approx.).

Hunter's Settlement – Rodebay - Travel by boat to the small settlement Oqaitsut/Rodebay with a local population of approx. 40 persons totally dependent on fishing and hunting - a
quite different world compared to the nearby town of Ilulissat. Guided walk through the village before enjoying lunch at the old trading station. Duration: 6 hours (approx.)Prices from £141 per

Midnight Cruise to the Ice Fjord - The midnight sun and the warm red colours reflecting in the gigantic icebergs is a fantastic sight. Cruise between the icebergs and enjoy a late
Martini on "the real rocks". Season for midnight sun is approx. 22 May-24 July. Outside this season the excursion is operated as an evening cruise with the beautiful sunset reflecting over the

By Helicopter to the Ice Cap (operation depend on weather and helicopter capacity) - As a new service you can now pre-book our helicopter excursion in Ilulissat. The tour includes a ground stop
where you can leave the helicopter! Either in front of the glacier itself (long tour) or mid-fjord overlooking the whole ice fiord (short tour). Actual tour depends on helicopter available. During
the flight you will cruise in low altitude over the Ilulissat Ice Fjord which is now on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Prices from £340 per person for 30min. flying time + ground stop or £403 per

Hunter's Settlement – Ilimanaq - By boat to the settlement of Ilimanaq, which is situated just south of the Kangia Ice Fjord. Ilimanaq has a population of approx. 80 persons
mainly depending upon fishing and hunting. A completely different world compared to the town of Ilulissat. Upon arrival to Ilimanaq guided tour of the settlement before enjoying our lunch with a

Home Visit - Visit a Greenland home, enjoy the "Coffee-Mik" (a cup of coffee which by tradition is served to all visitors) and learn about Greenland and its population. Duration:

Eqip - The Calving Glacier - Eqip glacier is the only glacier in the Ilulissat area where you can often experience a glacier calving. Cruise in front of the 5 km wide glacier -

Fishing tour - Sail to the fishing spot of the day, most probably near Bredebugt or at the mouth of the Ilulissat Ice Fjord. While waiting for your catch we have time to enjoy the
beautiful surroundings. By the end of the day you will hopefully bring home different sorts of fish such as cod, halibut, redfish and catfish. Duration: 4 hours (approx.) Prices from £141 per
Feeding the huskies - Ilulissat is a sledge-area and the approx. 3,500 dogs in town are still used for both work and fun every winter. You are invited to join the feeding of a dog
team. You can see, feel, touch and most of all hear the howling of 20 hungry dogs. The owner will demonstrate the sledge and the harness and tell about life as a sledge dog in Greenland. Good shoes

Whale Safari - Take a boat ride out into the Disko Bay to spot whales. In the summer time humpback whales come to the Disko Bay to feed on the capelin, a small herring-like fish.
As the humpback whales are protected they are very trusting and can often be enjoyed at close range. Duration: 5 hours (approx.) Prices from £120 per person including a packed lunch.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the aiport for your flight to Kangerlussuaq on Air Greenland. On arrival you will be met and transfered to the Hotel Kangerlussuaq where you will have a welcome

Sightseeing in Kangerlussuaq - A tour by minibus where the guide will shows the location of all service facilities such as swimming pool, bowling centre, night club etc. You will
also learn of the interesting history of the former military airbase which is now a modern village and a hectic civilian airport. A visit to the museum is also included. Duration: 2 hours (approx.).

The Inland Ice Cap by 4x4 Vehicle - A tour by 4-wheel-drive cars through an Arctic desert, along rivers, through old glacier valleys and over small mountains directly to the
Inland Ice Cap. You will travel along narrow mountain tracks in slow speed. En route you will make several photo stops, walk to some view points to overlook the fantastic Arctic landscape. The
destination is the steep glacier front of The Russell Glacier, where you will experience the activity of the ice on warm summer days and witness the ice melting. Alternatively you may travel to point
660 where you have the possibility to walk on the Inland Ice Cap. (Actual destination will be decided just before departure depending on the weather.) Duration: 4-5 hours (approx.) Prices from £78
Arctic Nature Tour - The world's biggest population of wild Musk Oxen are living in close range of Kangerlussuaq. Travel by minibus to an area where there will be possibilities to
see musk oxen and reindeer. Sightings of the animals cannot be guaranteed but the viewing rate is generally high. Duration: 1½ hours (approx.). Prices from £30 per person
