Dog Sledding And Northern Lights
5 Nights
Yellowknife, the capital of Canada’s Northwest Territories, is located directly under the Aurora Oval, a narrow band circling the polar reaches of the globe where the lights of the Aurora Borealis
are most brilliant. Combined with clear cold nights, Yellowknife’s favourable geographic location makes it one of the best places in the world for Aurora viewing. From Beck’s Kennels Cabin, located a
few miles outside the city, guests enjoy spectacular displays of Northern Lights. This holiday includes 3 nights Aurora Viewing, exploring the natural wonder of the Aurora from a warm cabin,
returning to your hotel in Yellowknife to sleep. Alternatively, you can choose to spend the entire night at the cabin as bunks are available and dinner and breakfast can be included (you could do
this for one or all three nights). During daylight hours optional activities include dog sled rides, a city tour, snowshoeing, Aboriginal Ice Fishing Demonstrations and bison viewing.
If you wish to extend your stay you can take a 4 day/3 night dog sled expedition staying in prospector tents, cabins and lodges. Alternatively you can enjoy a city stay in Vancouver, Calgary,
Toronto, Montreal or Quebec City or a few days skiing
