This exciting itinerary offers the opportunity to climb the three highest peaks wholly within Austria, in an action packed one week holiday. Joining in Innsbruck we drive to the picturesque ‘mountaineers' village of Vent in the Otztal Valley. Making use of the available uplift we climb to the stunningly located Breslauer Hut (2844m), our base for the first of our Three Peak Challenge. From here we make the ascent of Austria's second highest peak, the Wildspitze (3770m). Following the climb we have a day to recuperate with only a short walk to the Kursinger Hut (2558m). Here we are below the pyramid peak of the Grossvenediger (3666m) (the Great Venetian), the second of our challenge peaks. The climax of the holiday is an ascent of Austria's highest peak, the Grossglockner (3798m), which we climb from the Adlersruhe (3454m), the highest hut in the Tyrol. After a celebration of our achievement and overnight in the quintessential Tyrolean village of Kals, we return to Innsbruck to resume ‘normal' life.
