Enjoy the Cape Town's highlights on this epic city stay!

Your hostel is a great base from which to explore Cape Town. Visit the Cape of Good Hope and the picturesque Peninsula. The evenings are yours to sample the sumptuous fare of the many superb restaurants and bars within the city. Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and three nights minimum are required to explore this fascinating city and surrounds.

This tour is an ideal add-on to your overland tour - ask us how you can combine them!


Day 1. Arrival to Cape Town Highlights. Cape Town, South Africa. Accommodation. Ashanti Lodge, Gardens, Cape Town.

After settling in the rest of the day is yours at leisure to explore your surroundings. You may like to take a trip into town to visit the sights, or take a taxi to Table Mountain and a cable car ride to the top for spectacular views of Table Bay.

Alternatively head to the V&A Waterfront where there are a huge selection of shops, restaurants, bars and buskers. It is also home to the Two Ocean’s Aquarium and start point for Robben Island tours, both recommended sights to enjoy if time permits.

The hostel can help arrange transport for you and also advice on where you might like to go. Day 2. Cape Town - Peninsula Tour Highlights. Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. Cape Winelands, South Africa. Accommodation. Ashanti Lodge, Gardens, Cape Town.

Today you'll head out on an adventure to discover the sights of the Cape of Good Hope. Here you'll see the historic lighthouse and enjoy the fresh air.

Today you'll head out for a full day Peninsula Tour around the entire Cape Peninsula and the wonders of Cape Town - from the pristine beaches, to the spectacular sight of Cape Point, where the oceans meet.

Day 3. Cape Town Accommodation. Ashanti Lodge, Gardens, Cape Town.

Today is free to explore the numerous activities available in the Cape. Perhaps visit Robben Island, the Two Oceans Aquarium or Table Mountain if you haven’t already. Maybe visit the beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens, home to a wealth of endemic flora or head to Camp’s Bay for some beach life, and time out in its stylish cafes.

Alternatively take a Township Tour, visiting the District Six museum and the Malay Quarter before heading out onto the Cape Flats and visiting famous townships including Langa, Gugulethu and Khayelitsha. Step inside a local shabeen (township pub), meet a traditional herbalist and visit local people at a women’s centre and markets. It should prove to be a memorable and enlightening experience.
