Svalbard/Spitsbergen Sailing Expedition - 5 days
Join our flagship adventure during Arctic summer, a sophisticated and experience-packed trip. We intend for it to become your greatest holiday ever! You will take part in a sailing expedition through some of the Arctic’s most staggering landscapes.
Svalbard is about as far north you can go, if not to discover only ocean. Midway between mainland Norway and the North Pole, Svalbard offers one of the true paradises on earth.
The Mystery of Svalbard
Geologists can't fully explain how this gorgeous landmass was created. The virgin landscapes of Svalbard generously present you with islands, beaches, breathtaking fjords, stunning wildlife encounters and an arctic color palette producing world’s greatest photo opportunities. You will leave Svalbard with answers and questions.
Did you know: “Arctic” means Bear – so “Antarctic” means No Bear (from Greek: arktos). In other words, you would not see polar bears in the Antarctic.

Like a dream
Our mission is to offer the kind of trips we have been dreaming about, with the right equipment, the right guides, the right destinations, and only in small groups. We offer discriminatingly quality-minded trips.
On this sailing expedition you will be onboard the world’s best sailboat for arctic adventures, the Garcia Exploration 45, which is an experience in itself. This Ultimate Global Cruiser is Jimmy Cornell’s Ideal Boat, the winner of Best Boat 2015 in Sail Magazine and Boat of the Year 2015 by Cruising World.
To quote the maker: “I promise you will be able to sail this boat anywhere in the world.” Jimmy Cornell has cruised an overwhelming 200.000 miles of ocean. The particular boat is bought from him personally. It is the Aventura IV, built in 2014 and already an icon, the first born baby of Cornell’s relationship with custom boat builder Garcia. The boat's price tag is relevant to mention. With the present equipment it comes at around EUR 1,000,000, perhaps more than four times the average tourist sailboats in the arctic.
Advantages of this adventure configuration
We include most of what you need on this sailing expedition. You can save a lot of money not buying expensive equipment that you perhaps don't even need back home.
NUMBER OF GUESTS
We require 4 guests booked before the trip is finally confirmed. We can take bigger private groups up to 9 guests on request – then with two boats.
It will be 5 days, and 4 nights. It is impossible to have a fixed itinerary on Svalbard. The wind, the ocean, the weather, the pack ice, and the wildlife are unpredictable, and we just have to adapt to this on a day-to-day basis.
ON LAND TOO
We will have epic and easy hikes on land every day to embrace the surroundings: Glaciers, birds, wild animals, old settlements, research stations and more. You will get plenty of Instagram-worthy pictures from these trips.
We offer ecologically sustainable and responsible tours. Travelling in small groups is an essential part of the ecotourism concept, as small groups have lesser impact on nature and will not disturb the wildlife unnecessarily.
Our trips are approved by the official travel company to Norway, Visit Norway.
