1 – 8 July 2018
With the opening of the Pangolin Khwai Camp in March 2018 we now have the opportunity to offer a fantastic photo safari to two iconic destinations led by two brilliant photographic guides – Grant and Helena Atkinson.

The safari starts on The Khwai Private reserve which is home to the Pangolin Khwai Camp. This 200,000 private concession is right in the centre of the most productive regions of the Okavango Delta with Moremi to the South, Savute to the North and the Khwai Community reserve to the East. It really is in a prime location.
As it is a private reserve there are limited numbers of people allowed at any one time. This reduces the number of vehicles at a sighting and the pressure to move on before you have all the shots you want. We are allowed to off-road for better positioning at special sightings as well as conduct night drives.
At the camp, we have three game viewing vehicles and with this safari being limited to 8 guests you will be guaranteed a maximum number of guests and one photo guide per vehicle. Each vehicle is fitted with bean bag mounts and with so few people onboard there is plenty of space to move around to get your shots.
After 4 days in The Delta you will board a charter flight North to The Chobe to board our floating lodge – The Pangolin Voyager – which will serve as your base of operations for the next few days as you explore the waterways in our custom built 8 seater photo boat which is moored alongside. Photographing from the river is an entirely different experience from the vehicles previously and you will have the opportunity to get very different shots to the ones from The Delta. There will be plenty of elephants around along with the other animals that live along the river. Grant and helena will be onboard to help you get the shots you want utilising their years of experience to judge the animals behaviors and movement.
During the day there will be post production and editing sessions around the editing table of the Pangolin Khwai Camp and the dining room table of the houseboat to help with processing of images.
Grant and Helena are guides who are very much in demand these days and we are delighted that they have made time in their schedules to host this safari for us.
