Upon your arrival in the Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will be there to greet you a warm welcome. With the help of our representative, you will be escorted to the hotel where you desire to stay. After check in at the hotel, you can take rest for a while. At evening, you will be invited for dinner and after that, the trip itinerary is discussed clearly.
Today, we will be sightseeing inside Kathmandu Valley. After warm breakfast, we will be visiting to the historical and UNESCO enlisted heritage sites inside the valley that mainly include two Buddhist Shrines (Swayambhunath and Boudhanath Stupa). Firstly, we will be visiting Swayambhunath Stupa popularly known as “Monkey Temple” which is one of the oldest Buddhist monuments in the world with more than 2000 years of history. After that, we will be heading towards Boudhanath Stupa which is one of the largest Buddhist Stupa where over 50 Tibetan Gompas and monasteries lie. The monks of these Stupas are mainly from Tibet. This Stupa is popularly known as “Little Tibet”.
Today after breakfast, we will be heading towards Bhaktapur leaving behind the busy crowded Kathmandu City. After reaching Dhulikhel, we will be having a short walk for about an hour or more to reach Namobuddha. Located on slightly elevated land, Namobuddha is a pleasant and out-of-the way place. Namobuddha is also known as Takmo Lujin. Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery is its main attraction which is a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery in the Karma Kagyu tradition located at the sacred pilgrimage site of Namobuddha. We will be then heading towards Balthali which will take you about 4 hours of walk. Balthali provides scenic views of eastern Himalayas including Everest range. This hiking trail is peaceful with stunning views of hamlets and gorges and snow covered peaks.
After wrapping up with our breakfast, we will be heading towards Nala Gumba. Nala Gumba is a specific region with historical and religious importance. Dhagpo Sheydrub Ling Monastery is the main attraction of this place built on the top of the hill which is popular among Buddhist as well as Hindu people. We can find different art and sculpture inside the Gumba. After visiting Nala Gumba, we will be transferring back to Kathmandu.
Today, we will be leaving for Lumbini after our breakfast. Lumbini (the birthplace of Lord Siddhartha Gautam Buddha) is about 9 hours of drive from Kathmandu. Lumbini lies in the Terai region of Nepal which has flat lands than that of Kathmandu. It is the most beautiful Buddhist holy site. You will be staying at the hotel of your own personal desire there.
Today is the exploration day. Right after breakfast, we will be exploring Lumbini (the birthplace of Lord Siddhartha Gautam Buddha). Lumbini, which is a UNESCO enlisted world heritage site, is a world-famous Buddhist religion and historical place. We will be visiting the Maya Devi Temple where Lord Siddhartha was born and Pushkarni Pond where baby Siddhartha was given his first ritual bath after his birth. Lumbini is also famous for its alluring monuments, monasteries, museums and peace pagoda along with the Ashoka’s Pillar that was erected by Emperor Ashoka (249 BC). It is separated into an eastern and western monastic zone, the eastern having the Theravadin monasteries and the western having Mahayana and Vajrayana monasteries. From early morning to evening, pilgrims from various countries perform chanting and meditation at the site. You can also experience this peaceful and relax meditation there.
After having our breakfast, today, we will be transferring to Pokhara which will take about 7 hours of drive. Pokhara is one of the beautiful cities of Nepal which is also called city of lakes. You can have splendid panoramic views of mountains like Fishtail, Dhaulagiri and many more. You can also have evening walk around lake side of Pokhara or can go for lake side cycling.
This day, we will be visiting some of the Buddhist Landmarks in Pokhara. Our first visit of the day is the massive Buddhist Stupa of World Peace Pagoda which was constructed by Buddhist Monks from the Japanese Nipponzan Myohji Organization on a narrow ridge high above Phewa Lake. We cross the Phewa Lake on a boat and then hike to the Stupa. You can enjoy mesmerizing views of various mountains from the top. Matepani Gomba or monastery and Hemja monastery are the next attractions of Pokhara. The next hiking to Hyangja, the site for Tibetan refugees camp also have Tashi Palkhiel monastery in the tradition of Karma Kagyu tradition. Finally, the boating on Phewa Lake is one of the beautiful memories that you will carry with you when you leave.
Today, we head back again to Kathmandu. The journey will take about 7 hours of drive straight to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can have rest for the rest of the day. The evening will be followed by farewell dinner.
This is the day you will depart for your home. You can either go for short shopping or go for complimentary Herbal massage spa to relax. After your shopping activity, our representative will escort you to the airport and greet you farewell in Nepali Style.
