This journey has been specifically devised for the active non-trekker who is seeking more than just a tour. We share the South America we know best as our experienced local guides introduce you to the cultural and geographic highlights of their homeland. This outstanding journey commences in Buenos Aires and continues on the beautiful Iguazu Falls. After venturing to Peru to wander the former Spanish capital of Lima we head to our comfortable lodge deep in the Amazon jungle to enjoy gentle walks and canoe trips. In Cusco we immerse ourselves in the colourful markets before gaining insights into the legendary Inca culture in the Sacred Valley. We continue to the remarkable ruins of Machu Picchu, perched spectacularly above the Urubamba River. We cross the altiplano to Lake Titicaca where we take small boats to the reed islands of the Uros Indians, before heading to the Bolivian capital of La Paz with visits to the markets and local ‘penas’ (live music venues), to feel the cultural pulse of Bolivia.
