This morning we will visit the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, founded by Daphne Sheldrick, the widow of the late David Sheldrick, one of Kenya’s best known Game Warden. The animal orphanage rehabilitates baby elephants (and rhinos) traumatized from the loss of their families, mostly due to poaching. Lunch at Karen Blixen Coffee Garden .
In afternoon we will see the endangered Rothschild giraffe up close at the Giraffe Center and visit the Karen Blixen Museum at the foot of the Ngong Hills.

This morning with our driver/guides we will head to the Ol Pajeta Conservancy in comfortable 4×4 Land Cruisers. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which is host to all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya. Game viewing in the conservancy and visit to the Chimpanzee sanctuary, home to 42 rescued chimps who live on 2 islands between the Ng’iro River. The Sanctuary was established in 1993 by the Jane Goodall Institute and the Kenya Wildlife Service.

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in good time for lunch at Lion Hill lodge. Afternoon game drive in the park famous for its large concentration of flamingos. The park has been declared a black rhino sanctuary. Late afternoon we will continue to Lake Elementaita, our lodge is located the shoreline of sapphire-blue Lake Elmenteita where hundreds of thousands of birds congregate.

After breakfast we will depart to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve through the spectacular Great Rift Valley. Lunch at Keekerol Lodge. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara, we shall have an opportunity to see the full range of African Wildlife; herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, lion, cheetah, giraffe and elephant. Several other animals are found in large numbers in the reserve.

Today early departure to the border town of Isebania. After clearing customs, proceed to the Tanzanian vehicle. Picnic lunch en route. After lunch, depart to the Serengeti national park. You will cross the western corridor of the Serengeti, en route game drive to your camp.

After breakfast we will leave with picnic for the Ngorongoro Conservation area, stopping en route at the historic site of Olduvai Gorge ” The cradle of mankind”. It was here that Louis and Mary Leakey found early human fossils back in 1959. Near the gorge you will stop at the Shifting sands, a remarkable black dune, composed of volcanic ash from Oldonyo Lengai. The dune is some 9 meters high and 100 meters long and is being blown westward at the rate of about 100 meters every 6 years.

Leaving early in the morning and taking a picnic lunch with you, you will spend most of the day game driving on the floor of the crater. The bottom of the crater dotted with watering-holes, shelters almost 30 000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. Covering an area of 259 sq.kms and standing at 2236m above sea level, it is considered to be one of the Wonders of the Natural World.

This morning proceed to Arusha for lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge. After lunch, drive to the border town of Namanga. Proceed to the Kenyan vehicles and towards the scenic Amboseli National Park, where you will be greeted by the beauty of Africa’s largest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Game drive en-route to your camp. There are over 1000 elephants in the parks eco-system, featuring some of the largest elephants in Africa.

Full day in Amboseli with early morning, morning and afternoon game drive. Wildbeest together with Burchell’s zebra, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, bufallo, warthog, Maasai giraffe, impala, waterbuck and dik-dik, are also among the herbivores you may encounter during your game drive, lions, spotted hyenas, wild cats, jackals and caracals represent the carnivores.
