This morning we will visit the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, founded by Daphne Sheldrick, the widow of the late David Sheldrick, one of Kenya’s best known Game Warden. The animal orphanage rehabilitates baby elephants (and rhinos) traumatized from the loss of their families, mostly due to poaching. In afternoon we will see the endangered Rothschild giraffe up close at the Giraffe Center and visit the Karen Blixen Museum at the foot of the Ngong Hills.

This morning with our driver/guides we will head to the Ol Pajeta Conservancy in comfortable 4×4 Land Cruisers. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which is host to all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya.
Game viewing in the conservancy and visit to the Chimpanzee sanctuary, home to 42 rescued chimps who live on 2 islands between the Ng’iro River. The Sanctuary was established in 1993 by the Jane Goodall Institute and the Kenya Wildlife Service.

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in good time for lunch at Lion Hill lodge, the lodge is ideally located inside the park on the hilly shores of lake Nakuru. Afternoon game drive in the park famous for its large concentration of flamingos. The park has been declared a black rhino sanctuary.

After breakfast we will depart to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve through the spectacular Great Rift Valley. Lunch en route. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara, we shall have an opportunity to see the full range of African Wildlife; herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, lion, cheetah, giraffe and elephant. Several other animals are found in large numbers in the reserve.

Today early departure to the border town of Isebania. After clearing customs, proceed in Tanzanian vehicle. Continue to your next destination, the shore of the Lake Victoria. Lunch at the lodge. Village tour and nature walk in the afternoon.

After breakfast, departure to the Serengeti national park. The entrance of the park is only 20 km from the lodge. You will cross the western corridor of the Serengeti, en route game drive to your camp. Lunch at Serengeti Serena Lodge where you will stay for 2 nights.
Serengeti means endless plains in Maasai language, an appropriate word to describe the largest Tanzania National park. The park is famous for its incredible variety of wildlife species, huge herds of wildebeest and zebra, predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, making Serengeti the world’s most exciting wildlife environment.

After breakfast we will leave with picnic for the Ngorongoro Conservation area, stopping en route at the historic site of Olduvai Gorge ” The cradle of mankind”. It was here that Louis and Mary Leakey found early human fossils back in 1959. Near the gorge you will stop at the Shifting sands, a remarkable black dune, composed of volcanic ash from Oldonyo Lengai. The dune is some 9 meters high and 100 meters long and is being blown westward at the rate of about 100 meters every 6 years.

After breakfast we will descend to the crater floor for a full day exploring this unique ecosystem and sanctuary of the black rhino. Picnic lunch in the crater.
The area contains over 25,000 large animals including black rhinoceros, wildebeests, zebras, eland, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles. The crater also has the densest known population of lions, numbering 62. Higher up, in the rainforests of the crater rim, are leopards, about 30 large elephants, mountain reedbuck and more than 4,000 buffalos, spotted hyenas, jackals, rare wild dogs, cheetahs, and other felines.

After breakfast proceed towards your next destination, Tarangire National Park, a quiet and scenic park with giant baobab trees and the park has some of the highest population density of elephants in Tanzania. Tarangire River attracts wide variety and concentration of migratory animal including elephant, wildebeest, zebra, eland and oryx. Tarangire is also a bird lovers’ paradise, with about 450 species.
