Bragging Rights! You toured this beautiful country and you powered it yourself!
|Day One||Entebbe – Lake Mburo||Transfer by road to the Lake Mburo National Park. Afternoon bike ride through the park.|
|Day Two||If road conditions allow, we will start the day early at the Western Ruiza gate, giving us a good chance to see more animals in this less visited area of the park. After 62km we will meet up with the bikes at Biharwe and start riding west on the road. If the Ruizi road is impassable, we shall leave the National Park from the main Sanga gate, ride 13km on a gently undulating dirt road to the main road, a total of 89km to Ndeija.|
|Day Three||Kabale||Today you continue to Kabale. With long low rolling hills interspersed with low-lying marsh areas and open plains.|
|Day Four||Kisoro||We leave Kabale town past the gorgeous Lake Bunyonyi, with the small matter of a 470m climb over 10km in the way. Once again, views compensate as we ride over several more summits, past the remarkable local terraced fields with farming going on at impossible angles on the hillsides.|
|Day Five||Ruhengeri||Continuing from Kisoro to Ruhengeri, the first 10km to the border are on dirt with mountains always on our right. At Cyanika we join the smooth tarmac of Rwanda (remembering to ride on the right).|
|Day Six||Ruhengere – Gorilla Tracking||Today’s the day! Go and see the gorillas, and return to the hotel for our celebratory meal in the evening|
|Day Seven||Entebbe||Transfer in the morning to Kisoro airstrip, and fly to Entebbe. In the afternoon the is an optional trip on the lake to see the chimpanzee sanctuary at Ngamba Island, or a visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Center|
|Day Eight||Fly Out||Spend the day relaxing and enjoying the sights of Entebbe before catching your flight back home.|
