TRIP OVERVIEW

This short trip will bring you to the main attractions of the central Vietnam, together with a good insight into the history, culture, religion, architecture and local life of the places you visit.

TOUR ITINERARY

 Day 1: City tour of Hue

After breakfast you will take an in-depth tour of this historical city. The itinerary includes visits to: Cau Ngoi Village – the countryside market - The Hue Old Citadel, which contains the Imperial City and the Purple Forbidden City – Thien Mu Pagoda – Minh Mang Tomb. Afterward return to the hotel for your refreshment. The rest of the day is at your leisure

 Day 2: Ancient Village – Da Nang – Hoi An Ancient Town (B)

After breakfast you will take a 3 hour drive south along the coast road with stops at the top of Hai Van pass (Cloudy Pass), the Cham Sculpture Museum, Non Nuoc Beach, and Marble Mountain. Then proceed to Hoi An. Upon arrival, check in the hotel for refreshments before an in-depth walking tour of the most interesting sites in Hoi An, which include the Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese Assembly Halls, Tan Ky Ancient House, and The vibrant market. Afterwards return to the hotel for refreshments before a nice dinner in the local restaurant in the ancient town. The rest of the day is yours. 

 Day 3: Countryside Activities - Free time at leisure (B)

Today you will take a short drive to Cam Thanh Coconut Village, where you get a feel for what the village life is like. Upon arrival, board a bamboo basket boat - float along the river to the Water Coconut Forest – try your luck at catching fish, crabs and shrimps - continue to Tra Que Herb Garden -try your hand at hoeing, finding uses for seaweed, transplanting and watering vegetables – join the villagers in a cooking class to prepare for lunch in a traditional way – get to eat what you have prepared!. Afterwards return to the hotel for refreshments. The rest of the day is yours. 

 Day 4: My Son Sanctuary (World Heritage) – Free time (B)

After breakfast, you will take a short drive to My Son Sanctuary. Upon arrival, transferred by electric car to the sites - take a guided walking tour for exploration of the sanctuary - enjoy a traditional show performed by Cham peopl - visit the Cham sculpture museum to learn about the lost civilization of Champa Kingdom. Return to Hoi An. The rest of the day is at your own pace

 Day 5: Free time at leisure in Hoi An (B)

There will be some more free time for you today as it is the jewel in anyone’s visit to this ancient town. You may like to unwind at one of the most beautiful beaches or simply wander the street stalls selling paintings, woodwork, ceramics, lanterns and much more. This ancient city is also well-known for its talented tailors who can make beautiful items to order within a few hours. Bring your favorite piece of clothing, or even just a picture, and you'll be able to have it copied. 

 Day 6: Hoi An - Danang - Departure (B)

Today you are free until your transfer to Da Nang airport for your onward flight
