Day 1 : Antananarivo
Meeting with the guide and transfer to the hotel where you will spend the night.
After breakfast, you will leave the Highlands to go to the middle east along a winding road to Andasibe. Along the way, stop in Marozevo to visit the Pereyras Reserve and there will be an opportunity to meet endemic chameleon species. A short stop to discover a little bit of the city of Moramanga and its museum. Continue towards Périnet. Arrival in the late afternoon and installation at the Hotel.
Day 3 : Andasibe
Day devoted to the visit of the most accessible and essential Park. Guided tour of the Analamazaotra reserve : a dense humid forest, this last one conceals a great biodiversity that you will discover at every step and it will be amazing and surprising to see the largest living lemur on the planet, the Indri-Indri, in its natural environment, and other species of diurnal and nocturnal lemurs, frogs and reptiles that inhabit the park. An adventure, an expedition not to be missed, climate varying from the humid East. The landscapes are spectacular, and the local population very welcoming.
You will have the opportunity to discover the private park of Vakona: This very well designed reserve includes a small informal museum, a crocodile lake, various species of reptiles and amphibians, several endemic plants, a superb aviary and above all a "mini park" with lemurs including several islets where various species of these prosimians can be seen. We travel by canoe from islet to islet, to get close to the partially tamed specimens of the park. An unforgettable encounter even for the most sceptical. Night at the Hotel.
Day 4 : Andasibe - Antananarivo
Breakfast at the hotel. Then back to Antananarivo. After lunch, visit of the crocodile park: croc farm next to Ivato airport. Night at the Hotel.
Day 5 : Antananarivo - Fort Dauphin
After breakfast, transfer to the airport during the day and flight to Fort-Dauphin, in the south of Madagascar. Reception on your arrival, transfer and installation at your hotel. A stroll through the city during which you will discover Fort Flacourt and the many remains of colonial architecture. Visit of the botanical garden of Saiadi too, a garden which shelters a flora characteristic of the western coast : water lilies, endemic palms, orchids.
Day 6 : Berenty
Departure for the Berenty Private Reserve. You cross a dense vegetation. It is the territory of the nephetes, a carnivorous plant that fascinated botanists in the last century. The Ranopiso pass allows you to cross the Anosy mountain range and access the arid areas of the South, the mountain range providing a barrier against the trade winds. Beautiful contrast of vegetation. Installation at the lodge.
Day 7 : Berenty
Day trip to the Berenty Reserve, known for its lemurs and birds, the sisal factory (fibre extracted from the leaves of the Sisal, used to make ropes, coarse fabrics and carpets) and the Musée de l'Androy, which, like the reserve, was set up at the initiative of the planter and hotelier Jean de Heaulme. It presents the Antandroy ethnic group in its environment, its daily life – particularly through its handicrafts and the great ceremonies that mark the existence of members of this ethnic group - and traces the history of the region by mentioning archaeological research.
Day 8 : Berenty - Fort Dauphin
Return to Fort-Dauphin after breakfast. In the afternoon, you relax at the hotel, a massage is offered.
Day 9 : Fort-Dauphin - Antananarivo
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and flight back to Antananarivo. Welcoming by our team. If you have time, you will visit the upper city of Antananarivo.
Day 10 : Antananarivo - Nosy Be
Transfer to the airport and take the flight to Nosy Be. On arrival, welcoming and transfer to the port of Hell-Ville and boarding a fast boat to reach Nosy Komba or "Lemurs Island". Installation at the hotel, then free afternoon.
Day 11 : Nosy Komba
After breakfast, departure for the discovery of the island. This is your opportunity to discover the Lemurs Park : impressive to see red and black Macaco in freedom. You will discover the giant turtle, small radiated turtles, snakes and different species of birds. Not to mention local handicrafts, such as wooden sculptures, shell neck laces, embroidered and Richelieu tablecloths, lace... You will have many beautiful souvenirs to bring back in your luggage. Day 12 : Nosy Tanikely
A day dedicated to the discovery of nosy Tanikely : a diversified coral reef and a privileged position in the middle of Nosy Be bay give its nickname "the natural aquarium". Nosy Tanikely marine reserve with its abundant corals and exceptional biodiversity, offers habitats for many underwater species. In the middle of the afternoon, return to the hotel.
Day 13 : NosyKomba - Nosy Be - Antananarivo
Transfer by boat to the port of Nosy Be then transfer to Nosy Be airport during the day and flight to Antananarivo. Installation and night at the hotel.
Day 14 : Antananarivo
After breakfast, departure for the visit of the historica lremains of the capital. About twenty kilometres in the north of the city, you can find the cradle of the Merina monarchy in Ambohimanga or "the bluehill". Then along the way, you will discover a centre that is committed to the education of autistic children. The room is at your disposal until your departure in the evening. Night at hotel or take the international flight.
Day 15 : Antananarivo-own country
