Located in the Idukki district in Kerala, this pictorial hill station is only 15km away from Nendumkandom and can be easily reached following the Munnar-Thekkady route.
Reaching an astounding height of 3,500ft above the sea level, the Ramakkalmedu trek offers panoramic views of several hamlets of Tamil Nadu. Acclaimed as one of the most exciting trekking destinations in Kerala, the hill is also perched with historical statues of Kuravar and Kurathi. According to the legends, when Lord Rama was searching for Ravana, he stepped onto the Ramakkalmedu peak and thus it got its name!

Indulge into the Ramakkalmedu trek and retrace history along with the glorious tales of Ramayana. Originating from the base of this enthralling hill, the trek will take you to its peak from where you can enjoy fascinating views of the valleys and meadows underneath. Though the trek is comparatively a shorter one, it is an amazing way to get introduced with the immaculate beauty of Ramakkalmedu and the untouched natural beauty around it!
Arrival in the Basecamp
Take in the fun and excitement of trekking in Ramakkalmedu with your arrival at the basecamp at around 12:00PM. Following your arrival, fuel up yourself with an energising lunch and get ready to embark on this exciting trek.
Hike through the craggy and uneven terrains of Ramakkalmedu while enjoying the captivating views all around. While most of the trek is an easier one, you might have to come across a bit of challenges while traversing to the peak of Ramakkalmedu. Once you make it to the peak, feast on the panoramic views of the distant villages and towns, the lush greeneries all around and also visit the historic statues of Kuravar and Kurathi.
With the advent of evening, start trekking back to the basecamp and get refreshed with an evening hi-tea. As the evening gets darker, take in the beauty of the moment beside a jolly campfire. The day will conclude at the camp with your dinner being served.

If cancellations are made 15 days before the start date of the trip, no cancellation fees will be applicable.
If cancellations are made within 7-15 days before the start date of the trip, 10% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellations are made within 3-6 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellations are made within 0-2 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However no refund will be provided for the same.
The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days
The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 12 hours of successful booking
In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email.
Alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking and a full refund will be processed.
