Munnar never ceases to amaze the ardent traveler in you, so this holiday, head on with your friends for a trek to Laxmi hills in Munnar and revel in the beauty of nature! Once here you can begin your exciting trek around 08:30AM or 09:00AM. You can drive about 3km towards Cochin (road) from Munnar, to the starting point for the Laxmi hills trek. The trek will start at the height of 1420 meters MSL (approx), and you can start through the tea plantations for about 30 to 40 minutes.
After reaching the top of the hill, spend the rest of the trek on the ridge which offers beautiful views around, through grasslands, of which one side will be rocky mountain slopes and the other side will be tea plantations, patches of Shola forest and more. On a clear sky day you can see the Anaimudi “highest peak in South India” and the water reservoir of Idukki Dam which is listed as one of the highest arch dams in Asia and the third tallest dam in India.
You will have refreshment/picnic lunch at any suitable place during the trek, after which you can have another 40 minutes to 1 hour walk through the tea plantations to finish the trek and highest point of this trek will be about 1950m MSL (approx). So, don’t wait, book your deals right away!
