About the Activity:

  • Partake in adventure near Luang Prabang, visit to Kuang Xi waterfall, indulge in trekking also with this full day trip.
  • Depart from Luang Prabang around 09:00 AM and get driven for one hour west to reach Ban Xeng Mouk village where your trek starts.
  • Start the trip with a visit to the ethnic Khmu village of Ban Longlao Nung and then head to the nearby village of Hmong in Ban Lognlao Song.
  • Observe and analyse the cultural differences between the two minority groups, despite the differences, they mingle with each other and sharing the same school too.
  • Tread through the paddy fields, large plantations, vegetable fields and cover the trails before you reach the mountainous forest.
  • Explore a cave en route which was used as a bomb storage by the locals during the second Indo China war, continue trekking for one more hour  brings you to one of the many springs that feeds Kuang Xi waterfalls, witness a beautiful pool full of sacred fish also.
  • Descend from the top of the waterfall to have your lunch in the exact Lao style and aftermath relax and relish with the pools below the waterfall. Also, make a visit to the bear conservation center nearby.
  • Take a short walk to another splendid village called Khmu of Ban Thapene which is home to some of the most beautiful pools of Kuang Xi and then head back to Luang Prabang to wind up your tour around 05:00 PM.
