About the Destination:
Perched at 1,343 metres above sea level, Kodachadri is a winsome mountain peak in Shimoga, Karnataka. It displays the many charms if Western Ghats and was awarded the title of natural heritage site by Government Karnataka. A biodiversity hotspot, this is 10th highest peak of the state.
About the Activity:
Explore the salubrious settings of Kodachadri trekking experience. The activity is nothing short of exciting and refreshing as you make your way amidst the many charms of nature. Enjoy the trail through forests and landscapes covered in a carpet of green.
Also, come across a cascading waterfall that heightens the experience. Once on the top, you can lap up great sights of the hilly areas yonder and the clear blue sky above. The trekking activity takes place over a day, starting from the morning and ending by evening. Safety is given prime importance as the ratio is one professional instructor to 10 people. Local guides are hired to ensure extra safety.
Reach Kodachadri, Go Trekking
Arrive at the Kodachadri homestay by 6:00 AM. Get refreshed and gear up for the day ahead with breakfast. After your fill, you will set off from the stay and reach charming Kumble Village by 8:00 AM. Once here, you proceed to the gushing waterfalls. Enjoy making way through the nature settings and woodlands. The path is laden with green delights. Somewhere along the way, in the open expanse of Mother Earth, savour picnic lunch.
You will reach the Kodachadri peak sometime around 3:00 PM. Once at the top, sink in the sweeping views of other hills and the landscape all around. Relax here for a bit and go trigger happy if you wish. Retreat to the homestay and reach around 6.30 PM. The evening comes alive with campfire. Have dinner around 9:00 AM and retire for the night.
Leave for Bangalore
Rise and shine to the dewy nature by 6:00 AM. After you freshen up and have breakfast, you will set off to Shivappa Naik’s Fort at Nagara. Reach the fortress by 11:00 AM and unwind for a bit. By 12:00 PM you will depart from the place. Self-sponsored lunch will be had along the way. Reach Bangalore by 8:30 PM.

Consumption of alcohol or any other intoxicating substances are strictly prohibited during the activities

If cancellations are made 15 days before the start date of the trip, no cancellation fees will be applicable.
If cancellations are made within 7-15 days before the start date of the trip, 10% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellations are made within 3-6 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellations are made within 0-2 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However no refund will be provided for the same.
The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days
The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 12 hours of successful booking
In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email.
Alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking and a full refund will be processed.
