About the Activity:
On this rip-roaring rafting extravaganza, get to Kali River rafting that is plonked on Indo-Nepal border. Savour the adventure as rafting on Kali trip takes you down the upper sections of this river. Your journey begins at Kathgodam, a charming town in the Nainital, Uttarakhand. It forms the last station on its Indian Railways line. From here onwards, you would have to take the automobile to reach the Kumaon region of the Himalayan Mountains.
Uttarakhand is the ideal playground for adventure sports. Displaying breath-taking beauty, it enchants with dramatic and arrayed landscape of pretty lakes, windy rivers, high mountains and soaring sights of the mighty Himalayas.  
Lap up the journey amidst varied landscape comprising thick forest, farms, sandy beaches and more before you dash off to the plains. Enjoy run amidst remote and desolate area that opens up natural splendours. Through this activity, pass many stalactite and stalagmite formations. Making this trip all the more delightful is all the natural beauty and the chance to challenge Class II – IV rapids rafting on Kali river.
Temperature Range: The expected temperatures would be 12-20°C during the day and 7-8°C during the nights

 

 

Day 1 - Drive from Kathgodam to Pithoragarh

 

 

Arrival at Pithoragarh

On your first day, transfer from Kathgodam to Pithoragarh.Overnight will be spent in tents, for the next day your Kali river rafting begins.

 

Day 2 - Pithoragarh – Jhulaghat - Chaukidhari (Drive/2hr)

 

15km rafting, Class II+ rapids, Stalactite and stalagmite formations

Dig into breakfast and take a 2 hour drive from Pithoragarh to put-in point at Jhulaghat. Once at this place, enjoy a rafting stretch of 15km of Class II+ rapids. Along the way, pass many stalactite and stalagmite formations. After reaching the camp sometime late in the afternoon, set off on a hike to nearby village.

Overnight will be spent in tents.

 

Day 3 - Chaukidhari - Pancheshwar

 

Rafting

Charge up with breakfast, after which, you commence the rafting towards Pancheshwar. This is a stunning spot plonked at the confluence of the Kali and Saryu rivers, and is a well-known fishing spot. End the rafting just after the confluence and set up camp here for the night.

Overnight will be spent in tents.

 

Day 4 - Pancheshwar - Daurigaon

 

lass III rapids, 2 big rapids - Tergad and Garhmukteshwar, Remote areas

Gear up for an exciting day today as you go through many Class III rapids and also 2 big rapids - Tergad and Garhmukteshwar. Lap up the run amidst remote and desolate area and take in the stunning beauty.

Overnight will be spent in camps.

 

Day 5 - Daurigaon - Parigaon

 

Class IV Chooka rapid

This exciting day, raft down through a series of big rapids to end with the Class IV Chooka rapid. Set up the camp just below this rapid.

Overnight will be spent in tents.

 

Day 6 - Parigaon – Boom- Kathgodam

 

Class III and III+ rapids, Trip ends here
