Kameng River, previously known as Bhareli River and presently Jia Bhoreli (in Assam) and Kameng (in Arunachal Pradesh) is the blissful sojourn of different grades of rapids.
Whether an amateur or an expert rafter, Kameng River offers rapids of almost all grades; Grade I to IV. Also, the charismas of the verdant and picturesque forests along the river bank, and some of the playful river-beaches add more delight to this rafting tour.

 

 

 

Day 1 - Departure from Delhi

With your drop-off at the Delhi Airport, this enchanting tour of the Kameng River will come to a delightful and memorable end. 

 

Day 2 - Delhi to Guwahati

 

Arrival in Guwahati

According to the schedule of the flight, you will be driven to the Delhi Airport; 2 hours flight will take you to the Guwahati, the capital city of Assam. Post checking-in into the hotel, you can rest and relax for the rest of the day; overnight stay in Guwahati.

 

Day 3 - Guwahati to Nameri

 

Nameri, Eco Lodge, Riverside, Bonfire

Mark the beginning of the day with a pleasant cup of bed tea followed by a delicious breakfast. After having breakfast, you will be driven through the Guwahati-Tezpur Highway to reach Nameri. Arrival in Nameri will be followed by checking-in into the eco lodge; by the time you arrive in the eco camp, it will be time for lunch. Post lunch, a brief walk along the riverside will make you familiar with the settings of Nameri. A delightful bonfire followed by scrumptious dinner will keep you enchanted till the end of the day; overnight stay in the camp.

 

Day 4 - Nameri to Seppa

 

Jeep Safari, Bhalukpung, Orchid Sanctuary, Seppa

After breakfast is served at the eco camp, an enthralling Jeep Safari will take you through the narrow and rustic terrains to Bhalukpung. Located on the border of Arunachal Pradesh, the visitors should submit their visiting permits at the check-post before making their way into the Bhalukpung town.

Making way through the locales of Bhalukpung, you will be driven to Seppa. En route, you will be visiting the Orchid Sanctuary and witness around 300 species of exotic and rare orchids. After a lunch break, you will be taken to Seppa, a township located on the banks of the Kameng River; overnight stay in Seppa.

 

Day 5 - Seppa to Marjingla

 

Local Village, Camp-stay, Raft Building

An early morning drive from the hotel in Seppa will take you towards Marjingla. This part of journey will comprise traversing through rural settlements and local roads; the journey might take a longer span of time! Upon arrival in Marjingla, you will be checked-in into a camp; plans for the next day will embark today with the preparation of rafts and other gears. Meals and overnight stay will be arranged in the camp.

 

Day 6 - Marjingla

 

River Rafting, Enthralling Rapids

Thrill and excitement will begin today! Starting with few of the easy rapids in Kameng River, you will be cruising the thickets and finally get to encounter the enthralling Grade-IV rapids of the river. By noon, you can recline on the sandy beach of Keming River and enjoy the tepidness of the sands. Come evening, you will be guided back to the camp; overnight stay in the camp.

 

Day 7 - Marjingla to Seppa

 

River Rafting, Camping, Picturesque Ravines

Post breakfast, you can paddle through the ravines and unfold their charismatic splendour and the aura of the surroundings. Cruising through Grade-III rapids, today you will reach the Seppa town; camps will be arranged in one of the sandy beaches. Overnight stay and dinner will be arranged in the camp.

 

Day 8 - Seppa to Kameng

 

River Rafting, Grade III-IV Rapids, Camping

Embrace the day with the gradual and easy rapids of the Kameng River and paddle to some of the remote areas in Kameng. Grade-III-IV rapids will follow hereafter, turning rafting into an affair of fun and adventure. The day will conclude upon arrival at the campsite near the confluence point of the Kameng and Bichom rivers; overnight stay at the camp.

 

Day 9 - Kameng

 

Exploration, Sunbathe, Bird Watching, Fishing

A leisure day at the Kameng campsite will allow you time to delve into the remote areas and admire their magnificence. You can also opt for sunbathing, bird watching, relax around the beach or can try your skills in angling near the riverbanks.
