Apart from the enchanting beauty of India’s North Eastern part, this tour will help you explore the enriched wildlife and a range of species of birds. It is a perfect getaway for those who have a passion for wildlife and different forms of animals. Along with so much in the itinerary, travellers may find themselves amidst the rich culture and traditions of North-East and will get a golden chance to interact with the locals and have a glimpse of their life and culture.
There are different activities starting from rides to safaris and from walking trails to cruising; each has a completely different experience of their own. While activities like camping and river rafting will keep the visitors engulfed into fun and excitement, cultural programmes, dance and folk music will help them delve deep into various culture. 

 

 

Day 1 - Nameri Wildlife Sanctuary to Guwahati

Post breakfast, you will be driven to Guwahati. A journey of 4 hours (approx.), upon arrival at the Guwahati airport/railway station, this amazing tour will come to a delightful end with loads of memories that might last forever in your mind. 

 

Day 2 - Kolkata to Sunderbans

 

Rural Bazaar, Fishermen’s Village Exploration, Cruising, and Birding

There is a pick up from the hotel early morning after breakfast followed by a 2.5 hours drive to Sonakhali Jetty. In between, you can enjoy the ambience of the countryside, explore the rural bazaar and the fishermen’s villages and get refreshed at the local tea shops.

After the guide briefs you at the jetty, a breath-taking cruise of 2 hours will follow through Hogol, Gumdi, Durgaduani and Gomor rivers. An exploration of Gosaba, which is the earliest settlement made by people in the Sunderbans area, is also available as an option.

After checking-in at the resort in Sunderbans, relax for a while and get ready for a 3 hours game cruise and birding tour in the creeks and canals of the famous Sudhanyakhali watch tower. Before it gets dark, you will be guided back to the resort; overnight stay will be at the resort.

 

Day 3 - Sunderbans

 

Birding Tour, Game Cruise, Rural Theatre Play

Once you finish breakfast, there will be a birding tour and game cruise at the Netidhopani Watch Tower. This will however, depend on the weather conditions of the place; lunch will be served on the boat. This will be followed by some amount of leisure time in the camp. The evening will be dedicated to the rural theatres play, also known as ‘Bonobibi Yatra’. They are performed by the villagers and are a riots of dance and music; overnight stay will be in Sunderbans.

 

Day 4 - Sunderbans to Kolkata

 

Village Walk, Cruising, Canopy Walk

Post breakfast, there will be a short village tour where you can have a glimpse of their art, craft, cultures, traditions and lifestyles; it also includes a firsthand interaction with the villagers. A country boat for cruising will be the next activity for the day. A short cruise to DoBanki watch tower is also included along with a canopy walk. After you are back to the resort, there is lunch followed by travelling to the Sonakhali from where you will be transferred to Kolkata. Upon arrival in Kolkata, check-in into the hotel and relax for the day; overnight stay in Kolkata.

 

Day 5 - Kolkata to Guwahati

 

Sunset Cruise, Mighty Brahmaputra

A short flight from Kolkata will take you to Guwahati, one of the prominent cities of Assam. After checking-in into the hotel, you can rest for a while before stepping out for the sunset cruise in the Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

 

Day 6 - Guwahati to Kaziranga National Park

 

Kamakhaya Temple, Scenic Beauty and Landscapes

Post breakfast in the hotel, you will be visiting to the religious and renowned Kamakhaya Temple. Once you are back to the hotel, you will be driven to the Kaziranga National Park, the natural home to the One-horned Rhinos. Check-in into the resort and enjoy a peaceful slumber amidst the exotic wildlife.

 

Day 7 - Kaziranga National Park

 

Elephant Ride, Jeep Safari

Before breakfast is served at the resort, an Elephant Safari will take you into some of the popular spots of the park wherein you can catch the glimpses of Kaziranga’s exotic wildlife. Post breakfast, a Jeep Safari till lunch will keep you immersed within the beauty of the park. After lunch, explore the western range and then relax for the rest of the day; overnight stay at the resort.

 

Day 8 - Kaziranga National Park

 

Jeep Safari

The entire day is committed to Jeep Safari watching various birds and wildlife on the place; the endangered One-horned Rhinos are the main attraction of this park. Safari continues post lunch, followed by an overnight stay at the resort.

 

Day 9 - Kaziranga to Nameri Wildlife Sanctuary

 

Forest Walk

Followed by breakfast, a 4 hours’ drive from Kaziranga National Park will take you to Nameri Wildlife Sanctuary. Arrival in Nameri will be embraced by checking-in into a resort followed by a forest walk to get familiar with the surroundings; overnight stay at Nameri Wildlife Sanctuary.
