Ascend Mt.Triglav, Slovenia's highest peak
Little known outside Slovenia, the Julian Alps are the unsung mountains of Europe. Giant limestone peaks dramatically twist their way from the lush, verdant meadows of the valleys below, creating a unique landscape that Slovenians are proud to call their own. This trip encompasses all the very best of this special mountain range, with an opportunity to reach the summit of Mt. Triglav, which rewards with views to Austria, Italy and Croatia.

Challenging: 5-6km/3-4miles an hour
Low altitude; including steep, rocky terrain
Warm-up walk in the Karavanke Mountains, free evening in Bled.
Transfer to Lake Bohinj and the Triglav National Park passing a traditional mountain settlement. Trek overlooking stunning glacial lake.
Walk through valley of the Seven Triglav Lakes, heading towards the more rocky terrain of Hribarice.
Trek through the heart of the Julian Alps followed by our Triglav summit attempt (weather dependant).
Follow mountain trails offering panoramas of the whole Julian Alps before arriving on Pokljuka Plateau and Blejska Koca
Final day trekking east along ridge towards the peak of Brda (2009m). Transfer back to Bled, with time to stroll around the picturesque lake.
This is a small group guided holiday. The group is usually between 4 and 16 in size, with an average of 12 like-minded clients booking individually, in a couple or as friends together.
You have a good level of fitness and are looking for a physically challenging holiday. Previous experience is essential for activity based trips.

What's not included
Hotel & Mountain Huts
While in Bled, you will spend 2 nights in a comfortable 3 star hotel with en suite facilities. While trekking, you will spend 5 nights in traditional mountain huts. These huts range in size, but are all manned and catered. Rooms are generally dormitory style (4+) with basic toilet facilities and running water, but no showers.
