Your chance to
Hike through one of Europe's last wildernesses
At a glance
7 nights in a comfortable guesthouse with twin and single rooms Most rooms are en suite but some have shared facilities (max two rooms per bathroom)
Hike through buccolic landscapes, visit quaint villages and view the birds and bears that inhabit this lost corner of Europe
History and geography conspired to make Transylvania, in central Romania, one of Europe’s most beautifully wild and fascinating regions. For centuries the locals have existed in harmony with a variety of wildlife, including Europe’s highest concentration of bears, wolves and lynx. Meanwhile dense forests have remained largely untouched. Our days are spent on walks, through spectacular canyons, virgin forests and Saxon villages. We go in search of Brown bears and explore the mediaeval town of Brasov as well as Bran castle, best known as the residence of Count Dracula.

Interesting facts
Triglav summiting or how to tame Goldenhorn

Triglav is the Slovenia’s highest mountain, featuring three peaks with the highest one reaching 2864 meters. According to one of the legends, there was a magical Goldenhorn inhabiting the Triglav Mountains. The horns of the mysterious creature were made of gold and would make anyone who caught Goldenhorn forever rich. The Goldenhorn was never caught due to its artfulness in escaping from the chasers, even when injured. The magic power of Goldenhorn was hidden in a divine flower protecting him from deathly wounds. The flower was growing in the crevices of Triglav and boasted unfathomable beauty.
