Located south of the Canary Islands, the Cape Verde archipelago is a walkers paradise. With its rugged coastlines and fertile terraced volcanic slopes we have plenty of days to explore four of these beautiful islands. After enjoying 1 night on Sal we arrive onto Sao Vicente and have time to explore the colourful town of Mindelo picking up the flavour Creole Portuguese-African culture, before taking a ferry to the most northerly island, Santo Antao. We spend four walking-packed days here amidst the sub-tropical jagged mountains. In stark opposite to the nearby island of Sal with its flat sandy beach and watersports, Santo Antao is lush, mountainous and a haven for walkers.
