The local Tamang communities are a small cultural group of Tibetan descent living a traditional lifestyle raising livestock, farming, making baskets and mats from mountain bamboo and trading with Kerung in Tibet. They offer a friendly welcome to passing travelers and are happy to share their rich culture.
As the trek meanders through this Tamang populated land, breathtaking mountain scenery will prevail, encapsulating pretty villages, terraced hillside fields, lush valleys and thick, colorful jungles. As we trek into traditional mountain territory, we can bathe in natural hot springs, witness the sun rise and set over some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the world and stay in traditional local homes. A trip not to be missed for those who enjoy immersing themselves in local culture, ancient customs and traditions.
