The Ganesh Himal trekking area is located in the central eastern region of Nepal. This region offers an adventure into a remote, untouched land, affording breath taking views and a chance to get to know the local people living a time-honored lifestyle. Named after the elephant-headed God of Good Fortune, Ganesh, son of Lord Shiva, the Ganesh Himal range can be seen clearly from the Kathmandu Valley, Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, Ganesh IV are quite prominent, the “Great Himalayan Chain” forming a magnificent skyline. This great Himalayan massif is contained between the valley of the Budhi Gandaki in the west and the Bhote Koshi River in the east, which becomes the Trishuli in lower sections.

Just a few hours drive from Kathmandu, the adventure begins, we head through the foothills and lowland farm terraces before reaching many ethnic Tamang villages at higher altitudes. Ganesh himal, Langtang, Bouddha Himal, Hiunchuli and other peaks of the central Himalaya will keep us captivated along the way as we continue up to the Shing La Pass at 4200m and Pansang La Pass at 4100m, the highest altitudes reached on this trek. From the passes, prepare to be amazed by the spectacular vistas and panoramas.
An adventurous, full camping trip with a top notch team of guides, porters and a cook, this trek takes you up through jungles, rocky landscapes, terraced hills and over the raging waters of some impressive Himalayan rivers, a hidden gem in the heart of the `Himalayas, above the clouds and into the wilderness.
A Local guide is allocated for this trip; they know the destination better than anyone and this will enhance your trek into this remote area even further.
