Western Zambia’s Kafue National Park encompasses some 22,400 square kilometres, making it one of the largest game reserves in Africa. Its sheer size and diversity makes it an ideal location for an extended safari and this unforgettable adventure offers a chance to stay in three different camps, allowing you to experience a variety of accommodation, landscapes and animals.
Popular with safari aficionados, predator sightings here are excellent and the park can boast large populations of lions and rare wild dogs. It is also considered one of the best spots on the continent for leopard sightings, whilst the vast and open Busanga Plains provides ideal country for cheetahs to thrive in.
The mists that rise up from the plains provide a magical backdrop to sunrise and sunset at Busanga, with the abundant herds of rare antelope, such as sitatunga, lechwe and yellow-backed duiker making for some wonderful photographs. One of Zambia’s oldest parks, Kafue provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable safari experience.
