Bathed in the quintessential colours of Africa, southern Tanzania is home to some of the most authentic safari experiences. From the game-rich lands of the Mkata floodplains, to the untouched and wild landscapes of Ruaha National Park, this is country that conjures up the very essence of ‘Wild Africa’.
Beginning in Dar es Salaam, your journey takes you by light aircraft on to the expansive setting of Mukimi National Park and a safari camp stunningly located overlooking the rich Mkata floodplains. With daily safaris and a chance to visit the breathtaking Udzungwa Mountain National Park, you’ll have ample opportunity to search out a vast array of game before flying on to the Mufindi Highlands.
Amongst the rolling hills and tea plantations of Mufindi, you’ll then have time to relax and enjoy village visits, horse riding and fly fishing, before your adventure takes you on to Ruaha, one of favourite parks in Tanzania.. Here, beside the waters of the Ruaha River, you’ll seek out wild dog, unimaginable numbers of birds and some of the largest concentrations of elephants in East Africa.
