Great Bear Rainforest

The trip operates from Bella Bella. Two days will be spent exploring the Fiordland Provincial Protected Area. Kynoch Inlet has some spectacular rock faces and waterfalls and you will visit remote
estuaries with the hope of seeing bears attracted by the spawning salmon. The remainder of the trip will be spent travelling along the shore of Princess Royal Island – the best known area for
sightings of the rare Spirit or Kermode bear. Khutze Inlet has a beautiful river valley and an abundance of bird life and bears are often seen along the shore. A day will be spent with local
Tshimshian guides who will take you to their favourite wildlife viewing areas. Humpback whales may also be sighted. Your trip will end back at Bella Bella for your flight to Vancouver.

Tug MV Swell - Limited to 10 Passengers
Tug MV Swell has been beautifully restored and offers multi-day journeys along the coast of British Columbia. The ship accommodates 10 passengers in private state rooms with private bathrooms. It
has comfortable lounge areas, 2 shore boats and 2 kayaks.
Maple Leaf - Limited to 8 Passengers
Maple Leaf is a completely restored 92 foot Edwardian schooner that combines modern conveniences with classical décor. The schooner accommodates a maximum of eight guests and a crew of four or
five. The sleeping areas have large comfortable beds that are separated by walls and heavy curtains and there are three bathrooms with hotshowers. There are two inflatable boats for shore excursions
with expert naturalists and historians to search for birds, bears and marine life. Kayaks are also available.
The Island Odyssey and Island Roamer - Limited to 16 Passengers
These two 20 metre ketches (sailing boats) operate various 7 night itineraries to the Queen Charlotte Islands (Haida Gwaii), the Great Bear Rain Forest, southeast Alaska and the islands and
inlets of the coast of British Columbia. Each vessel can accommodate a maximum of 16 passengers in 8 double cabins sharing three bathrooms with hot showers. There is a comfortable lounge, well
equipped galley and a covered wildlife viewing area on deck. All meals, soft drinks and wine with dinner are included. Inflatable boats and kayaks are on board for shore excursions.
