The Larapinta Trail and the high-ridge lines of the West MacDonnell Ranges is one of the most picturesque and distinctive landscapes in Australia. Follow in the footstep of Albert Namatjira and seek your own expression of this ancient land. We follow an itinerary that will allow artists to spend time a wide range of stunning locations, beyond the reach of casual visitors. You will need to carry only a day pack, as a support vehicle will transport the luggage and support our campsites with bush tucker that will exceed expectations. There will also be plenty of time to reflect on the variety of the land or undertake some optional guided walks. We will experience views from the high ridge-line to narrow canyons where sheltered pockets of delicate fern and twisted gum trees grow from the dry rivers of sand. Sydney artist Michael Herron will act as artistic director, providing guidance for artists to achieve their full creative potential
