Launceston Rock Climbing

Tasmania has a reputation for world class rock climbing on the famous Dolerite crags. There are over 900 recorded climbs in Launceston's Cataract Gorge alone. Join local climbing guides on a great day on the crag. The climbing will be tailored to suit your experience and ensure a great day of fun and adventure. From first-time beginners through to advanced rock climbers, half and full day climbing trips are arranged on request.

DAY 1

Join your rock climbing guide at 8.30am at the Gorge for an equipment and safety briefing. From here walk into the heart of the Cataract Gorge to encounter the famed dolerite crags. You will undertake a series of climbs and abseils chosen to suit the aptitude and ability of the participants. The half day tour concludes at noon. The full day tour includes a break for lunch and offers a more complete experience of climbing in the spectacular Cataract Gorge
