Discover Botswana's top highlights on this adventure!

Enjoy the Best of Botswana on this comprehensive 9 day safari through Botswana's top highlights. From the thundering Victoria Falls, to the elephants of Chobe National Park; and the predators that roam the famed Savuti and Moremi. Glide down the waterways of the Okavango Delta and marvel at the giant baobabs at the Makgadikgadi Pans. With some extra time to unwind in Victoria Falls after the wildlife adventure - this small group safari truly offers the absolute best!

This tour travels through Botswana's wilderness camps using mobile tented camps with rustic facilities.

Day 1. Victoria Falls to Kasane, Botswana Highlights. Chobe National Park Game Drive, Botswana. Chobe National Park, Botswana.

This morning you are collected from your lodge and transferred to the border of Botswana to meet your tour and safari guide. Changing vehicles we take a short drive to the town of Kasane, nestled on the banks of the Chobe River. We enter the Chobe National Park and game drive in search of lion, leopard, hyena, giraffe, elephant, buffalo and the prolific bird species that dot the edge of the Chobe River. In the evening we set up camp in the national park and enjoy our first night in the African wilderness. 5 images Chobe National Park Game Drive, Botswana 4 images Chobe National Park, Botswana

Day 2. Chobe to Savuti Highlights. Savuti Marsh, Botswana.

We pack up early and head into the Chobe National Park by road this time seeking out the resident wildlife that has been active overnight.

Our game drive takes us via the winding the sand paths in the park and through to the Savuti area neighboring the Chobe National Park. We set up our camp and once the afternoon has cooled off we head out again - this time exploring the Savuti. This area is well known for its dense population of predators and we hope to see them out in their natural habitat during our drive. 1 images Savuti Marsh, Botswana

Day 3. Savuti to Moremi Highlights. Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana.

Heading from the Savuti to Moremi today we game drive as we go along the winding game paths and tracks. The Moremi area is rich with game and offers an untouched wildlife experience. The combination of different habitats from Mopane woodland to Acacia forest, floodplains and lagoons make the area a place of stunning beauty, supporting a diverse array of wildlife. Sightings of leopard, wild dog, cheetah and lion are common, as are elephant, giraffe and zebra encounters. Common night-time visitors to our camp are the spotted hyena and the honey badger.
At certain times of the year it may be preferable / safer (as well as offer better game viewing) to visit an adjacent game management area instead of Moremi. 3 images Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana

Day 4. Moremi to Maun Highlights. Maun, Botswana.

Rising early we head out with the morning rays to explore the surrounds and any night-time activity in our area. After our game drive, we return to camp and pack up before heading to Maun - the gateway to the Okavango Delta.

We spend the night at our camp on the outskirts of town.

Day 5. Maun to Okavango Delta Highlights. Okavango Delta, Botswana.

Today's adventure takes us into the Okavango Delta - a natural wetland eco-system spanning over 1.6 million hectares of northern Botswana creating ideal habitats for a range of wildlife and bird species.

We spend the day out in the wild enjoying the floodplains, channels and watery wilderness in our dug-out canoe and on foot. This evening we're back at camp in Maun. 4 images Okavango Delta, Botswana

Day 6. Maun to Makgadikgadi Pans Highlights. Makgadikadi Pans, Botswana.

Heading east, we make our way via the village of Gweta to the Makgadikgadi Pans. We'll stop off at Chapman's Baobabs along the way - the famed 'seven sisters' that watch over the pans like sentinels.

Tonight we'll have the opportunity to camp out under the stars on the edge of the pans and marvel at the shimmering starry night sky

*N.B: Due to the rainy season in Botswana we may not camp at the Makgadikgadi Pans. In that case we may move our destination to Nata where we will overnight and wake early for an opportunity to see the Flamingo’s at the Flamingo sanctuary

Day 7. Makgadikgadi Pans to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Leaving the pans we head back north to Kasane and the border to Zimbabwe where, after border formalities, we continue back to Victoria Falls.

This evening is spent at leisure exploring your surrounds or simply relaxing at the lodgings.

Day 8. Victoria Falls Highlights. Victoria Falls National Park.

Immerse yourself in the Zimbabwe culture with a full day in the Victoria Falls area. We visit Victoria Falls National Park and then browse the local curio market before spending an afternoon at the Chamobondo primary school where we will interact with students and learn more about the Zimbabwe educational system from the teachers. From the school we go to a local restaurant for a traditional African lunch, before finishing our tour with a visit to an orphanage. We end our day joining a peaceful sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. 2 images Victoria Falls National Park

Day 9. Victoria Falls

Tour ends after breakfast today. We do, however, recommend that you spend a few extra days to explore the Victoria Falls area. The Zambezi boasts one of the world’s highest rated rivers for pure white water river rafting through its many challenging and novice rapids. From game walks, Micro-light flight or white water rafting to name a few, Victoria Falls will capture and fulfill your imagination, validating the myths of the African spirit.
